View Full Version : Purchased expansion being told invalid key

I just purchased the expansion yet when I went to use the key it is coming back that it is invalid. "The Product Key you entered is not valid for use. If you believe this is an error, please contact Turbine Customer Service by visiting support.turbine.com." So who is refunding my money? Or am I getting the expansion I bought and paid for?

where did you try to enter the key..
it needs to be entered in at your turbine account login.

Are you entering it manually or copy/paste?
If copy/paste, check that you didn't accidentally grab an extra character, space, or invisible element.
ETA: Didn't Turbine make it possible to add xpack keys in the ingame Store?

Yeah, copy and paste. Nope, no extra character. Can't purchase it in game. Purchasing is done through Digital River. I used same email, same CC, same name. I have the email, with the order number and the key.

Looks like your OP was posted after business hours on a Friday. There's a small chance Alkaid will stop by on his own time over the weekend, but you'll certainly be able to get that fixed on Monday.
I'd suggest submitting a ticket to support so they have the info to work with.

He doesn't mean purchase it in game, he means redeem the code in game using the "redeem code" button in the ddo store. I think someone may have forgotten to tell digital river to update their instructions when we got the new store interface..

Yep, have ticket in. I thought it was odd when I didn't get immediate access to it having purchased expansions for LOTRO ages ago. :o
