First they came for the Manyshotters, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a monkcher.
Then they came for the Warlocks, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Warlock.
Then they came for the Shiradis, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Shiradi.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I won't say anything.
Because I'm not you.

enough with the nerf bats,,,,,,,,,,supposed to be called balance passes!!!
balance the classes, then do what must be done to dungeons to keep game interesting!!!
as my friend jotman said many times in many threads,,,there are many ways to FIX the game, nerfing is not, should not, be, the first, second or even last choice at this point after invalidating yourselves repeatedly with ran gen loot!
do what you can to balance, will never be perfect, but stop the nerf rants

Not enough.
Hope there's several more stanzas.

Random Generated Loot is NOT the reason ES warlock DESERVE a nerf.

Random Generated Loot is NOT the reason ES warlock DESERVE a nerf.
Funnily enough I've never had a problem gearing up my ES Locks - Mainly because ES Lock only needs ONE THING - Spellpower! {Literally everything else is superfluous!}.
And I've noticed Radiance especially has a very high spawn rate in RNG - Resonance and Impulse are pretty easy to get too when you have literally every gear slot free!
I will say however that the new RNG has made ES Locks more powerful than they would have been prior! The ease of getting SPwr along with the additional SPwr added with Insightful along with the lack of need for pretty much any other gear based bonus really played into ES Locks perceived OPness as compared to other Classes {Melee in particular} who have real trouble finding decent RNG gear!

The main problem with ES Warlock is not their DPS...its 3,000 + HP's. I've even seen them as high as 5,000 HP.
In the past if someone posted a screen shot of a toon with 2,000 HP, It was a dwarven Fighter or Paladin in defender stance...they would be ridiculed because it was likely they couldn't kill a CR3 Kobold (and they even invested so much in HP, they couldn't intimidate or generate hate, so they couldn't tank). Now these 5,000 HP bastards are leading kill count routinely. (For the record, I could care less about the kill count....it just shows they don't have a DPS problem), and tanking to boot. Heck, they can even heal the party and raise the dead while still doing all of this at the same time.
Sure....ES warlocks aren't OP. Keep telling yourself that (Not you Fran, just those who think they should not be nerfed) so you can go on thinking you are elite.

Comparing balance passes to classes to religious, racial, or cultural oppression or, in some cases, genocide, is a bit of an exaggeration.
I still see a lot of Monkchers running around. Furyshotters and Thrower builds are still the highest burst DPS in the game, and quite popular. Despite having been "come for".
Warlocks have been tweaked 2 or 3 times now. And are still one of the most popular classes and very powerful in all phases of the game. Despite having been "come for" multiple times now.
Shiradi Casters are still the most popular form of caster, since DC casting has such a large PL and gearing requirement. Despite having been "come for".
TWF have been "nerfed" several times. Including recently losing the Melee Power that was granted with each TWF feat. And yet they are still the most popular form of melee.
Are we really supposed to think that another balancing of Warlocks, or the fixing of non-WAI components with Trees, Wolves, or ranged builds is going to be the "end" of anything? There's not much of a track record to support that theory. FoTM builds lose their popularity for a lot of reasons, only one of which is balance changes/fixing of bugs.
The nice thing about your build in this game is that you can change it easily. Unlike your race, orientation, religion, or cultural heritage. I'm not sure the OP's analogy holds water.
P.S. (Some players even ENJOY changing their build and finding new builds when the rules change. They see it as a challenge and an opportunity, not a loss).

First they came for the Manyshotters, and I did not speak out—
Because I was sick of everyone kiting raid bosses.
Then they came for the Warlocks, and I did not speak out—
Because Warlock is OP as hell.
Then they came for the Shiradis, and I did not speak out—
Because Shiraldi Spammers were everywhere.
Then they came for me—and I complained because now it's me.

if you don't like playing OP builds, don't play OP builds. If you like playing gimped builds, play gimped builds. Quit trying to control what other people do as it has no bearing on your gameplay. If you're concerned with kill stats you should be playing an FPS game. the devs should be working on CONTENT rather than trying to appease whiners because a certain build is infringing on their safe space.
new content will do a lot more to extending the life of this game than the endless cycle of nerfing the flavor of the month whatever it may be.

And when no one is left
But the zombie kobolds
Killing their vampire masters
With sentient weapons
Those souls who said not I
They will continue their carnage
In another form
That which they became
But was not of their doing
