View Full Version : Prob way to late, but.... can we craft on quivers now?

What the title says.

Would be wicked to be able to craft on quivers, even if I have to buy blancs from the store to be able to do so.

If not, shame for missing on that one! ;)
(And a sixpack of beer for the dev that manages to put it in!!!)

I think too many people would complain, "you just made crafting mandatory." Since there are no random quivers and a limited selection of named, it would basically be crafted for everyone. For me, as a crafter it'd just be more for me to slot stuff in.

am of mixed feelings about this.

As much as I would love it (and have asked for it), I have to agree that it would invalidate the named quivers out there and moreso cause a massive undeniably bad, power-creep.

Can grudgingly concede the point of throwing extra power into the already-deep pool, but how about if we could just apply a festival effect to them, like we can on cosmetic items now?

Would that limitation maybe draw in some support?

No I want things decreased and not even the slightest additional power creep Festival effect shouldn't stack any longer

I'm all for it, but only with limited effects, like 3-5 pre, suf and extra to chose from, most good for archers, but also some universal/melee/castery.

Would be also fun, if they'd redo quiver slot into extra slot, where you can slot either quiver, scbbard or spellbook/holy symbol.

the power creep would arise from classes crafting needed effects onto the quiver for non-ranged stuff

I'd really like something like this. A quiver, scroll/component case, or potion belt. On second thought: doesn't need effects, just let me store those things.

That kinda was my initial thought as well.
There's not a real need to craft extra damage effects on quivers but these things I would like:
- Ranged stuff like Alacrity or Speed
- Feat(ures)s like Mobility or Bow Strength or Elasticity
- Skills like Hide or Move silent
- Armor piercing?

And if I stretch thing some more then Metalline and those other DR bypassers?

Would have been nice to be able to craft quivers.. but they sidestepped and ignored the whole quiver thing whenever it was brought up..
Another spot to put craft effects that could have been useful to ranged toons.

Craft super large capacity quivers for collecting those assorted arrows/bolts...

I would have liked to have been able to craft various quivers that produce elemental arrows or bolts using elemental soulstones.. quiver of fire, quiver of earth, quiver of ice, quiver of air...
Quiver holds an endless supply of the appropriate element... .. scaleable elemental damage based on crafting levels...
Basically a permanent variation of flame arrow scroll/wand without the requirement spamming at the entrance to a quest with UMD..
Just equip and go..

This has been brought up and discussed by Cordovan and ?maybe? other Dev's in livestreams. They could do it, but it would only be storage, you would have to open the storage item (bag, belt, case, et al), remove the item, use the item, and then manually return it.

I would prefer things like quivers, (storage and use from) but like you, would settle on just storage. :)
