Way back in December, I took a break from the game. (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/469271-Thanks-everyone-for-a-fun-6-years) Most of the reasons I stepped away still apply, and some of the trends have even gotten worse while I've been gone. But some of the fun, hanging out with friends and running quests, still exists, too. So, I've started playing again. ("Welcome back!" Thanks.)
So I'm back, but in a much more casual, low-key sort of way. No frantic PL grinding. No desperate search for the best gear. No bothering with formerly fun personal goals like capping out Monster Manual or Wilderness areas. Because I fully expect Turbine to destroy and invalidate any effort I put into those things. But, as I said, hanging out and running quests a bit now and then is still fun.
However, even though I haven't exactly quit, go ahead, ask it:
"Can I have your stuff?"
Yes. Yes, you can.
I've been gathering gear for years, some because I thought I'd use it during a TR, some because a friend or guildy might need it, some as trade goods, or whatever. But I just don't care anymore, so I'm giving a whole bunch of it away. Not to mention that, with the crazy stat inflation on gear, a lot of these items that used to be awesome are now just mediocre. But hopefully still useful to someone.
So if you want an item or three from below, send mail in-game to Budstein, or PM me here. I'm basically doing this on a first-come, first-served basis, but don't be too greedy, please. If you want more than a handful of things, ask for some, then wait a week to ask for more, so other folks get a chance, too.
