I don't know how much of a failure was introducing a german-speaking server but I'm begining to think we definatelly need a chinese-speaking server. Or is this just sarlona?
They are all cool but being unable to communicate is annoying.
And yes I always remember this on group xp weekends.

I love Sarlona and I love the diversity of the people there. There are times when the most convenient time for me to play is 5am - 7am and I usually raid with Chinese groups.
Plus they don't allow the biggest butthead on Sarlona into their Le raids. That's a plus. Some of first-time EE and LE raid completions were with the Chinese guilds and they've never once not taken someone solely because of their first language to my knowledge.

As you play on Sarlona you must realise that it pretty much already IS the Chinese Server! From personal experience I'd hazard a guess that between 25-50% of the population of Sarlona is Chinese!
Force all of them to move to another Server and you may as well close Sarlona down and give free transfers to EVERY Sarlona resident! {Oh and Guild Transfers too of course!}.
That Chinese Server would also be quite small - Maybe larger than Wayfinder but nowhere near as large as any of the other 7 Servers!
There's multiple Japanese Guilds on Thelanis
There's multiple Korean Guilds on Ghallanda
There's multiple Brazilian and Italian Guilds on Cannith
BUT NONE OF THESE POPULATIONS ARE LARGE ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN A SERVER ON THEIR OWN!
The number of times I've come up against Language Issues on any Server in the past 6 years - Single Figures!
Although obviously I'm not counting LFMs which are written in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese etc. because I know instantly from the LFM not to join! - That's not a language issue, that's a simple statement that they're looking for people who speak their language and I'm not one of those people.
Heck I studied French at school to GCSE standard {well I got an E - Being forced to take a year of German in year 9 didn't help - In fact it pushed me back heavily because I couldn't learn two foreign languages at the same time} but I wouldn't join French LFMs either because 20+ years later apart from being able to count to 100 and say Bonjour et Au Revoir I can't communicate with them! And if the LFM is in French they might not be able to understand me either so I don't join!
There certainly aren't enough French speakers in DDO to even rival Wayfinder if ALL of them moved to a new French only Server!

Not being able to communicate is a choice you make.
Do what many of us did and learn the chinese you need to communicate in a group. Not many phrases and pretty easy. I think somebody even posted them here somewhere.

I had a Tasmanian join my guild recently. Should we now ask for a Tasmanian Server? :)
After all, they speak...Tasmanian. Although apparently they do type in English.

Tasmania is a State of Australia {no it's not part of the mainland but it's still part of Australia just like New South Wales and Queensland}.
I'm pretty certain the national language is English {A Strange Antipodean English I'll grant you but English nonetheless.}.

Feel free to ask me in game, it would be against the rules to mention it here even if it is well-deserved.

on argo we have polish, italian, spanish, russian, japanese, english, portugese, and im sure there is more. i have ran with a few from each of these and most of the time i don't have an issue. i'm sure they would consider a chinese server if there was more then enough playing it but atm i doubt there is to warrant their own server.

+!, same here, the common Chinese guilds I run with in PUGs are the Allied Farmers and the obvious Chinese Guild. Many do have some basic English skills but will most commonly communicate in their own language. Also the first LE PUG completions I was in was with those Chinese players.
Great bunch of players, skilled, friendly and will help you out even if there is a communication barrier.
Once upon a time my guild (PINOY), a Filipino guild also had a good bunch of players, we speak / type mostly in Tagalog, but will switch to English when PUGing. Actually to my surprise quite of few of my old guildmates from 2+ years ago are coming back, so this past weekend we ran tons of Heroic content in a static group (ah good times...) and when my guildies were not online (12 hour time difference between me in Canada and them in the Philippines), I was PUGing with the Chinese guilds.
All in All I would say my experience on Sarlona with LFMs has been a great experience because of these Chinese guilds.
