ETR Iconics and +1 Hearts of Wood

Anyone know, if I use a +1 Heart of wood to ditch the starting class from an iconic and then eTR, will I have to use another heart of wood to maintain the same class splits going forward or will the system automatically start me with whatever classes I used the heart of wood to change into originally?

Looking at a FvS/Wiz/Monk combo Bladeforge so would need to ditch the Pally level. Don't mind investing in a +1 HOW once, but want to eTR 2-3 times on this life and hate to think of purchasing multiples.

You'll be safe. Once you initially get rid of that first pally level, it's gone for as many eTR's and LR's you do and you'll start with the class you replaced it with.
