There are a couple of things going on right now in the game that from my player perspective, seem like they are possibly related. My observations are all on Thelanis, so I'd be interested to know if people are seeing these things on other servers, too.
1. In areas where there is a "seam" (or whatever the techncial terms is) in a map/instance, players are getting stuck trying to go from one to the other. This seems to be more common in wilderness areas (like Stormhorns and Menachturun), but we are having guildies and party members experience it even within quests. The most recent in-quest example was at the end of Mirror Darkly where you fly up the shaft for the end fight. This seems to happen whether solo or in a party, but is much more common in parties; especially if they are spread out. It does seem to eventually resolve itself if you keep slamming your face into whatever invisible wall keeps pushing you back, btw. :)
2. Separate chat instances. If everyone in a party enters a quest/area at the same time, no problem. When people enter at various times, we're noticing that both voice and text chats seem to spin-off into separate instances that do not see each other. You can end up in your own little chat world, or sometimes with a few others but not everyone. As a guild, we've primarily moved over to using Discord at this point, but for PUGs and people that may not be able to run a 3rd party chat client, this is a big problem. This has been affecting party chat, guild chat, voice, and text.
I lumped these two together because both seem like some kind of basic communication is failing divergent pieces that used to work together just fine. Of course, they are probably not related in the slightest, but hey, with DDO, you never know. ;)
