Ion stone as an end reward, for the level 2 sunken sewer quest in the marketplace? I though they only had a tiny chance in low level harbor quests? Had one come up yesterday wow.

That's a good pull. My lowest level quest I ever pulled one from was Irestone Inlet. Even with all the new random loot, some of these stones are still really nice when they are unlocked.

Eons ago I got a PLIS from WW quest giver just outside the entrance to the WW slayer zone.

Years ago now but I did get one from Butcher's Path and one from The Captives within a couple months of each other {I think back in 2012} and haven't seen a single one drop anywhere other than Dreaming Dark End Reward since.

They can drop in any min level 2-7 (@norm) quest but are a really rare drop. They are part of the old omniquest drop list with items like Bottle of Air and such.

long ago got a plis from a harbor quest and I think I let it get chewed up by magic missiles, not knowing it could be upgraded or that it was worth a lot.

As others have pointed out the Ioan Stone has been a very rare drop in level 2 through 7 quests.

My first ever was in Water Works - The blue one with Spot
My next was a Vibrant Purple pulled from Chest inside Splinter Skull

The rest were end rewards from IQ 2 Dreaming Dark completions.
