Some say Cor - duh - van while others say Cor - doe - vin.
What is it really?

I've always stressed the Van.
But I've heard a number of people stress the Doe too.

I've always stressed the Van.
This is the way Cordovan stresses it himself on live streams.

Okay, that is how I have been saying it, I just heard a certain vampire saying it the other way and it made me question my entire reality.

I just drop the "van" and say Cordo. And it's pronounced like Hordor...which is kinda appropriate since one of his responsibilities is to close things.

Technically it's KOR-doh-ven, at least that's how the little speaker on the Internet dictionary pronounces it, and why would the Internet lie?
That said, I follow the Keith Baker rules of pronunciation: Say it however you want. For me, my natural way of saying it is KOR-doh-van (van like the vehicle, rather than ven like oven), but I've heard it said kor-DOH-ven as well.
Jerry's fine, too. So is Cordo.

This is true, but then again, Cordovan isn't a Bawstahn native... He's from the midwest someplace or something...

This I would absolutely consider entrapment but I haven't had an infraction in a long time so it just might be worth it...

English pronunciation is something like kor-duh-v(uh)n (bah can't post in actual phonetic), the last (uh) isn't always pronounced which is why it's in brackets, or if you prefer either kor-duh-vuhn or kor-duhv'n. The second and third syllables are pronounced very swiftly.

Maybe you should create another effect similar to elemental resonance, that affects only fire lighting and acid and call it slave master's elemental manipulation or something and include lore for fire lighting and acid.
I personally like the appearance of only one effect that does several thing on an item like elemental resonance. It just looks more elegant.
Beside of this I agree with your move, to remove cold spell power. Because it is just logically by your own argumentation. By the way, I admit here I have no idea why a slave master can manipulate fire lighting and acid, but not cold. And I have to assume this is dictated by lore of some sort.
Either you got all four elements for spell lore and spell power or you got only three, and obviously a lot players see it this way even if some are not consequent enough to give up on cold spell power.
This has turned out to be quite an entertaining topic. I especially like this last post.

Well I'm french so for me it's a monotone Cor-doe-van.
Like my ingame name is Ykty, I pronounce it Eek-tee or Ikti like I would in French but most people say Yeek-tee (Yeek accentuated)
