Anyone thats done haunted halls a few times likely knows what im referring to, the doppleg bug where it doesnt spawn at all so you cant get the seal.

For a long time i only had it happen on EH, so i did the quest on EN and EE, but now im getting the bug on all difficulties, maybe lag related, idk.

On a non-rogue you cant get to the dopple fight too fast to check on the bug fail, so ive wasted hours and hours over the last couple years soloing HH on multiple characters.

To fix this all you have to do is have the seal go to inventory as soon as you first click on it rather than have it dissapear and then reappear after the fight, yeah someone may dd out of there(costing them a chest) even when it doesnt bug, but which is worse? Making an easy fight avoidable or letting a quest bug fail on a regular basis?

Easy fix.

They could also add a "start fight" lever.

Yeah, i dont trust it, lever wont work(spawn fight) half the time, lol.

Get that seal into the inventory pronto.

Have you run it recently? In the week before the latest patch I ran it about eight times, and it bugged 75% of those attempts. After the last patch I've run it four times (EH) and it has not bugged once.

I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that the thing you click is just a trigger, not really the seal. The scripts take over and do "the next thing". The problem is "the next thing" is not happening. If "the next thing" were "stick a seal in the players inventory", chances are that isn't going to work any better than "start the doppleganger sequence".

Could be wrong -there could be something wrong with the "start the doppleganger sequence" script itself. This used to be a fun quest but it's not worth trying to play at the moment.

When people pay money for something (Like an Adventure pack with ONLY ONE ADVENTURE).............please make sure that the ONE THING THEY BOUGHT is able to be used.

They should take it out of the store and make it f2p "at your own risk" until they can get it fixed. It is not right at all to take people's money for it in its current state.

Yes, im sure it is a trigger, and that the bug lies somewhere after that. Thats why this is an easy fix, picking things up is done in many quests and very rarely bugs, so if the "pick up" action for the seal is changed so that it is before the bugged script the bug wont stop quest completion.

Easy fix, dont even have to find the bug, i can only assume theyve tried in the past and failed.

We have been investigating this, and believe we've found a way to resolve it. The doppleganger fight involves some complex scripting, and fixing this for good would essentially mean re-doing the entire encounter, which is not something we are able to get done in time for U32. BUT - we believe we've found and implemented a safety mechanism that will allow the encounter to progress when this issue happens, so hopefully this will no longer be an issue after Update 32 is released.
