Let's hope they forgot about them because after the GREAT success of LGS, do you really think they could do a good job with an even more complex concept? I don't. I don't think they have the manpower, the time, or the willingness to let their creativity get the better of them. And after having run "Memoirs of an Illusory Larcener" for the first time yesterday, I'm honestly not looking forward to any future new content. That is quite possibly THE. SINGLE. MOST. BORING. QUEST. IN. THE. GAME. I know people have been complaining about how quests are just hallways filled with enemies, but this is the exact opposite! Run through empty hallways (that are supposed to be streets) to get to an encounter, then fight, then run through more empty hallways/streets to get to the next encounter. Rinse. Repeat. I'm so excited to run the other two U31 quests! I'm figuratively on the edge of my seat! (No, not even figuratively.)

I doubt that we are going to get any new coded weapons anytime in the future of the game. Sadly enough Sentient handwraps would of been awesome!!!

im writing this to refresh this thread and bc dont want to create new one.
how do you guys think is there a chance that turbin will add new rewords for remants or is this another dead system like commendation, tokens or challenge ect ect.
is it so hard to atleast add 28 lvl versions of items? or i dont know ap tom +1 , +2? (for example, it was mentioned in one live steam)
I'm scared that this game is dying day by day, its like they doing minimum to take the last money they can get before shut down...
is it only me or more ppl think that this game got like max 10 ppl working on it and im almost sure its 5...
we get less and less

u32 and 33 probobly 2 quests :D
sorry for my attitude but its just i play this game few years its only mmo that i cant quit and its bc there is no game that is even near it with awsomeness.

An idea for the implementation for sentient weapons:
1) Get the sentient weapon base item. This would be a top-tier favour reward where you pick what base weapon you want.
2) Once you've earned your first sentient weapon, you also get a permanant Sentient Weapon Bond feat (retained across TRs, like tomes) that lets you equip the sentient weapon and gain access to the Sentient Weapon Enchantment Tree for that character.
3) The sentient weapon itself has no effects beyond the basic damage & crit profile of the weapon.
4) The weapon's effects come as imbues from a separate interface, essentially an enhancement tree all of it's own.
5) As you level, in addition to your normal enhancement points you get Sentient Weapon Enhancement Points.
6) Spend the SWEPs in that interface to add effects to the weapon - different effects cost different numbers of SWEPs. These could be standard damage effects, debilitation, critical profile, +W, etc. with the basic +enhancement & +W increasing in line with total number of SWEPs spent - essentially as the core enhancements.
7) You get a set number of SWEPs from character level, then bonus points from Sentient Weapon tomes & additional instances of the initial Sentient Weapon Bond feat, plus maybe also past lives & as epic feat options so they'll be powerful for a first-lifer, but TRed characters will also get extra benefits.

What I would like to see in Sentient weapons..
1. Consumes certain named items to absorb traits and unlock special enhancement tree paths.
2. Selecting certain enhancement tree paths lockout others and may have s ide effects..
~such as vampiric has a distaste for undead.. I am sure we can get lots of permutations here...
3. slottable weapon type that allows the weapon to change form to suit players in any/all TR lives or mid life changes..
4. not repairable by normal means.. it needs to be fed to self repair...
5. basic level enhancement trees unlock with character level.. consumed named items unlock special trees/traits.
6. cosmetic slot to take on look of weapon cosmetic slotted in it.
7. augment slots unlockable..

Bring on the Sentient Weapons..
Customizable weapon upon crafting.. you can build whatever weapon you want.. no pigeon holed weapon choices.
Give Sentient weapon an enhancement tree for levelling choices. (Use the artificer pet as a template for the weapon..)
Have the Sentient weapon consume Named items to unlock branches of the enhancement tree that imbue unique traits from consumed epic named items.
Use enhancement point tree system to select regular sentient tree items or bonus branch options..
Bonus traits are accessible based on higher tier enhancement point investment.. TR and features become inaccessible until you reinvest the points.
Consume more named items over its life(lives) to unlock more bonus features..
So to get the expanded crit from eSOS.. you have to sacrifice your eSOS and let it be consumed by your sentient weapon... no refunds... want better base damage.. consume that sunblade/celestia/xxxx
Want different stat to damage, lesser/greater/sovereign vampirism, .. consume the items that have the features.
... not all options will work as your sentient weapon may have a selective palette and tends to prefer the finer Raid Named items..(the palette may change over time..or need to acquire a taste by consuming lesser versions first)
maybe even eventually..TR your weapon for more bonus Sentient weapon fetures... Weapon TR lives.. slashing, piercing, bludgeoning, thrower, ranged...
Ultimately I would like to see more options to build weapons around my character .. not build my character around limited weapon choices in the game...
There is a heavy trend towards a limited pool of decent weapon choices for players.. want to use light hammers or a greatclub.. well don't bother the base damage/crit suck and you have limited choices.. basically GS/LGS/TF..
..so do you build to be a gimp inferior flavor toon or join the crowd and get the superior limited selection weapons..
a customizable weapon usable at all levels that consumes these other named items would be a desirable means of attaining the power I want and keep the weapon I want to use while still retaining that hunt for power..
