Ottos Herioc Stone Question

Hey all,

Coming back to mess around with DDO for a bit, I had previously purchased a few otto's boxes to move the TR grind along. The stone says that it boost 2mill xp. This is not enough to go from 1-20. I don't recall what the level 20 xp mark is so can someone tell me about what level you need to grind to before you otto's to 20?

3.8 mil Don't forget pots.master gift. Ship buff. Otto is worth 3.4 with max buffs assuming the 10% for vip. So about 7 with max exp boosters

You need 3,800,00 XP to get to level 20 on third life.

Also don't forget that you can use you potions and other various XP boosts to get over 3 million XP from the stone.

The maximum you can get from an Otto stone is 3 399 999XP.

That is with 50% XP potion, 10% VIP bonus, 5% from guild buffs and 5% from Voice of the master/masters gift.

So you need to have 400k XP before you use the stone if you want to get to lvl 20.

I am relatively certain that all the bonuses stack. 50+10+5+5=70. 1.7*2=3.4, so 3.4m is the max you can get out of an xp stone. Regardless, you still need 400k to reach 20. Note, however, that this *is* enough to reach L20 on a 2d life character. The XP numbers are 1.8m, 2.7m and 3.6m. It holds at 3.6m from the 3d life onward.

400k is pretty easy to get if you have an elite BB maxed and have not done Vale quests. What I do is run any 4 quests that I can to get elite BB at L1 or L2 then eat the stone. Now I go to Vale. Run all the quests and if you don't hit L20 you'll be close enough that you can pick it up backtracking to GH walkups or by doing explorers (slayers too if you have a 200% pot).

For 3rd life and beyond, you need to be at level 7 Rank 3 to level 20 with maximum bonus including a 50% XP bonus potion (Sovereign), a voice of the master or some other 5% XP bonus item, a guild 5% XP and a VIP bonus of 10%.

Hey All,

Again thank you for the information! This is a 3rd life + character and I have all the bonuses except the 10% VIP at the moment. Now, to figure out which lives to knock out!

Which lives to knock out? I would say not the revamped classes, i.e. Monks, Favored Souls and Cleric. I believe they're at the bottom of the barrel atm.

Monks because of broken hand wraps and no PRR, assuming you're not doing a Shuricannon or a Moncheri build.

Favored Souls and Clerics are mostly support unless u got good gear... and not enough ooopm to do enough of anything.

Otto's box breakdown:

Base box: 2,000,000
50% xp potion: 1,000,000
10% vip: 200,000
5% ship bonus: 100,000
5% voice of the master 99,999 (not sure why it ends up being 1 short)

3,399,999

If there is an additional vip bonus you earn 100k per each 5% bonus. The maximum I've seen is a 15% vip bonus which allowed you to get 3,699,999.
