Fighters Kensei V. Vanguard

My main toon is a Sword & Board Vanguard fighter, he does pretty darn good.
I was wondering, is it worth the effort to switch to Kensei now, or should I wait?

Should have mentioned that my sword & board guy is human, 1st lifer. I also have a dorf kensei fighter that can switch from thf to twf, but is mainly thf. Is it worth respeccing the dorf to use a shield for the extra protection?

We've discussed this issue elsewhere (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/475847-pure-fighter-for-soloing?p=5831634&viewfull=1#post5831634); I've posted a "S&B Kensei" in my Iconic Builds thread. My feeling is Kensei definitely has better AoE DPS and possibly has better single-target / boss DPS. I still feel like VG is the more "tank-y" PrE, but if you're trying to make a DPS-focused S&B build, Kensei appears to be the better option, IMO.

Yeah, I am thinking about a DPS focused S&B build. That said...I think it will be easier and cheaper to test it out with my current S&B Vanguard build. Rather than totally respeccing my dorf.
