Fury for slaying arrow, LD is otherwise best option. If you can't keep up blitz (it takes some practice to keep it up with a bow) then you might consider another destiny, DC probably best option in that case.
Twists: cocoon, pin, sense weakness. Pin tags target as vulnerable if it is not moving when hit, then sense weakness boosts vuln damage. If the target is already moving, a good tech is to use sniper shot then pin, the sniper shot triggers bluff animation so they are not moving and you can get a pin in.
edit: i you are happy with healing, there are lots of good t1 options.

Isn't LD a Melee thing? I dont see anything that helps with my Ranged dmg?

Mainly Master's Blitz which is 70 ranged power fully stacked. The rest is really not super interesting for ranged.

What do you mean with you don't have fury though? As a ranger you can only pick shiradi or fury as your first choice, no?
If you picked shiradi you only need to level it to 3 to switch to fury.

Action Hero, IMO is almost as good as blitz and I don't see why it wouldn't be useful by Ranged?

You could level it up to 3, switch to primal and get one level in that, then go over to leveling Fury. This lets you pick up rejuvenation cocoon. I know Ranger has a lot of innate self healing already, but that's probably still a good level 1 twist for you since it offers a powerful HoT to complement your CSW for more survivability.

Personally, I think you shouldn't worry too much about which ED you're in at the moment since you're in a good position. Shiradi, Legendary Dreadnought, Fury are all decent enough for a new ranged ranger, and will provide a varied experience. You could try them out to learn what you like and while you're doing that you're accruing fate points to open up twist slots some more. For example, another early upgrade on this path would be changing your lvl 1 twist to 2, and put in Pin from Shiradi in place of cocoon while you are running in Fury for example.

Sure.
I didn't say it's not useful. Extra action boosts, damage boost, critical damage, 19-20 crit. multi, helpless damage is all good stuff.

It just doesn't really feel tailored for ranged builds at all. For a melee there's just so much more in that destiny.
It just happens to be great for all physical damage dealers, because of blitz alone.

This is what I recommend...

Level Shiradi to Level 4 - This opens up Legendary Dreadnaught/Martial Tree access
Level Primal Avatar to Level 2 - Gets access to Rejuvenation Cocoon

The reason above is to get two Fate Points before you move to Fury of the Wild. Additionally, you will want to eventually level up the entire ED system.

Then move to Fury of the Wild. Once you get to Level 3 in Fury you will have enough Fate Points to twist in Stay Frosty (Second Twist)

I mean in general you should try to level as many destinies as possible, since it unlocks more twists and twist options (Paleus already nailed the good starters in the primal sphere).
From 20 to 30 you need 8 250 000 XP, which is enough to cap more than 4 destinies alone.
Capping destinies of specific spheres also allows you to pick more destiny feats later on (level 26, 28, 29).

Fury Shot FTW! It fits my play-style better. For me, LD just doesn't work nearly as well. Your experience may differ.

The only time I switch ED's is when I need that one thingy for the MoD raid to prevent being encased in stone by the abbot.
It's in the Divine Crusader ED, but I'll be darned if I can remember the name.

I suggest you read some of the Ranger posts in that section of the forums, there are many very good analysis of things such as this, including my analysis of an elven ranger. For a quick summary I will say this - one of the great things about Ranger is you have lots of options depending on playstyle. Here are the pros/cons:

1. Fury - Furyshot is your choice if you like to be able to put out high burst DPS, the downside is you will have lower overall DPS. Good HPs.
2. Divine Crusader - Good consistent DPS and survivability perks
3. Legendary Dreadnought - Improves crits with morphic arrows, I would try out this and DC to see which you like best
4. Unyielding Sentinel - Outstanding raid ED
5. Shiradi - if you like lots of bells and whistles with your arrows

Twists will vary depending on which destiny you are in but:

1. Cocoon
2. Draconic Spell Power 30 of whatever elemental imbue you are using
3. Pin
4. Depending on your points left a variety of choices offer benefits to offense or defense, Unearthly reactions or Brace for defense, Grim Precision for offense.

1) Fury - for party chat quotes

2) Dread
- Blitz
- +1 crit multi 19-20
- some seeker
- pulverizer + morphic arrows => +1 crit rate
- Advancing blows seems to work with a Bow up to +5 dmg

3) Crusader
- Zeal (which is imo much better than the uncertain blitz building)
- 10% dstrike
- +1 crit range
- 4 dmg

For leveling i prefer crusader, for raids Fury, LD is a good substitute for either if for any reason you have to

You need to add Action Hero to your LD brake down and then realize it means you can have 100% up time of Damage and Hast boost. Assuming you have enough boost to get your from shrine to shrine. It also lets you use Sprint boost (if you have it) a lot more.

Action Hero doesn't get mentioned much when talking about LD but really I think it might be more powerful then Blitz is at this point in time.

Cocoon is a great option to have, but eventualy you might want to ditch it. It works best if you have empowered heal...so thats another feat you need to take.
If you already have maximise and empower( which will affect your CSW, while emp heal won't).
If you have fast healing running in Fury, plus CSW you can probably get by quite happilywith meta-ed CSW

What do you mean you do not have fury? Work towards it then, and cap it. You should ideally cap all destinies, the advantages you get from that are too great to not get them.

Blitz will be the most damage over time, but it depends on the mob layout if you can easily keep it up. DC is pretty comparable and way easier to use, plus zeal gives more control for burst damage. Like has been stated Fury is pretty much just to see what the biggest hit you can get is.

It's both playstyle and quest design that determines which is best.

And yes it sucks, but you want to cap all destinies eventually... resign yourself to running hards or even daily norms and they are not tough. Don't forget to swap to a hated destiny when taking saga rewards too.

Edit: on a build that lends itself to multiple destinies I will often have a swap primary bar so I don't have to mess with setup when I swap destinies, just set a new primary bar.

Pretty much true of Fury too. Many of the things that make fury good for archers say "melee" in their description. The one epic destiny MADE for ranged is probably the poorest of the popular choices and works best for casters.
