Fierahawk. level 7. where/what quest is best to find the essence? I have not been keeping any of it so far but now realize t he error of my ways. bag space, bag space. sigh. can it be bought on AH I wonder? I will go look. if t here is not best place to find essence I will collect it as fast as I can but may be day or 2, if it is easy to find t hat is. just let me know. and TY

edit- cool. found some on AH. will definitely find a bag to hold this stuff for future. ok I sent recipemaker the essence. I however do not know how to use the shard since I have no crafting levels.

Essence gets placed into your green bag.

It can be bought on AH or ddo store (assuming you are not bugged like I and can actually open the store).
It is a waste of TP to do so though.

You can obtain greater essence from a treasure chest in a quest when you run it at or under level.

You can also use a cannith crafting hall deconstruction station to disjoin unwanted magical weapons and armor you possess into greater/lesser essence (and pp as well). To deconstruct, you will also need to purchase a quantity of Lorinda's Ultimate Remover and Parfett's Leading Dissolver from the crafting hall attendant thats used to strip the equipment of its magical properties in the form of essence. The types of essence you receive are based on what type of properties were on the original equipment (fire effects create fire, ice effects create water, etc), and the quantities of the essence you receive are dependant on the power level of the effect (which determines a range of possible quantities) and some random luck (which selects a quantity among that range)

I will save up more essence for the weapon. sorry for misunderstanding. I will mail you the shard when I hear from you again to tell me if t hat is what you want.

Take a random lootgen weapon of your choice, place it in the Disjunction Device in the Cannith Crafting Hall in House K or House C (or your guild airship if it has been purchased). You need to use the Equipment Disjunction option (which also requires a Dust of Disjunction which is readily available at the crafting vendor in the crafting hall for peanuts) to make a blank.

Please note, that if the item that you are disjuncting has an Augment Slot on it (empty or occupied), it will raise the minimum level of the item when it is crafted upon.

So, place your newly disjuncted item into the Unbound Item Device along with the shard that moomooprincess sent you and craft away!

EDIT: You don't need any crafting levels whatsoever to create the item. Crafting levels are what determines what level of shards you are able to make.

No worries. I am fine. Essences received.

YOU can be LEVEL 0 in crafting to put shards on an item.


1. grab a weapon that you want it on. I prefer blunt types.
2. go to a crafting area in either House K or House Cannith
3. Go visit the woman in the crafting area that sells you the item you need to make a BLANK weapon DUST OF DISJUNCTION, I mailed one to you
4. go to a DECONSTRUCTION crafting device in either House K or House Cannith, place the ingredient she sold you and the weapon in the box, press deconstruct or whatever the button is.

You should now have a blank weapon with CRAFTING on it

5. Now, head back to where the woman is that sold you the ingredients. To her left is the UNBOUND crafting device.

6. Place the weapon and the unbound shard on the device press the weapon, viola, you have an everbright weapon.


Of course, as I type this, you need a +3 shard also. Oops.

Just run the anniversary event for like 16 times at level; you can then swap the party favors for a Brocolli which is ever bright. Its ML25 if you're level 25 or higher then you can use it.
