View Full Version : Do I really have to stop playing this game?

I've been playing this game for a long time. I've enjoyed every update and spent so much money to keep the game running. I know it's old, and the fact that it's still running is amazing, but is it time to hang it up. Every day I log in and try to get a few adventures in. Most of the time I have minor to moderate lag usually when party are more than 4 or when a warlock is in the parry. I don't even try raids anymore because I know I will get so frustrated that I want to break my monitor with my keyboard. (Slightly exaggerating). So I continue to play day in and day out but I won't spend anymore money. Honestly I'm just waiting for the game to end. I don't want it to happen.... but all games end sooner or later. Maybe come out with a part 2 or something? Probably no money to do that. What's next for turbine? Oh well enough of this rant.

Hang in there. Lets see if the changes on Tuesday fix the issue or at least make the problem visible to the Turbine Team so they can fix it.

Norät unless you want to, really.

But if the game is unplayable for you take a break until it isnt.

You don't have to stop playing... the game periodically stops playing for you... aka lag..

Try another Server like I am doing :)

All the servers are located at the same place. I thought for awhile that a low pop server like Wayfinder was having less lag but I'm not sure now. Lots of lag on Wayfinder the last few days, more than I had on Cannith before moving over for the duration of the Lag Event.

Wayfinder could very well be sharing iron with other servers now. If they did try to virtualize the game servers, then what happens on one server could affect others as well.

I am beginning to think this is not a network issue at all.

Take a break, come back, and see if the enjoyment is rekindled. No need to stop playing long-term... but often a short term break is just what the doc ordered.
