View Full Version : Bug? 'Keen' appears to get generated as a suffix and applied as a prefix.

It started when I looked at this Keen Axe with fire spell power and thought "I've never seen fire spell power as a hidden bonus before..."

Then I searched the auction house and found a bunch more items named "Keen Weapon" (no suffix) which had extra powers as though there was another prefix generated.

Keen Greatsword: (Keen 1, Seeker 11) looks like it was generated Deft Greatsword of Keen.

Keen Greataxe: (Keen 1, Corrosion 64) looks like it was generated Corrosive Greataxe of Keen.

Keen Rapier: (Keen 1, Paralyzing) looks like it was generated Paralyzing Rapier of Keen.

And so on.

This makes me think that DDO has put the "Keen" prefix into the lootgen suffix table somehow, and when an item rolls any other prefix along with the Keen quasi-suffix, the item gets "Keen" written as its displayed prefix and displays no suffix.

There is a lot of this going on.

Want to see it, stick one of those items in the deconstruction station in the crafting hall to see what materials are needed. If two yellow it has two prefixes, if two green it has two suffixes.

Yea, I had noticed that some items seemed to have two prefixes/suffixes when deconstructing... hopefully this will be fixed someday, along with the myriad of other issues the new loot gen system has, but I won't hold my breath!

Sadly, some of these issues should be easy to fix... like all the "Weapon's _____ Effect" names instead of actual effect names. The other day I saw an item that had the actual effect name in the title, but just the Weapon's Effect name in the description. How did that happen? Someone filled in the table for the titles but never got around to the one for the descriptions?

The real question would be does keen of keen stack...
