So, returning player...gonna TR into a WF FVS...
I have played this build before...but things have changed...
Thinking about taking Adamantine Body, but with the Warpriest Enhancement tree...is it worth it?
Warpriest gives DR 5/ -
http://ddowiki.com/page/Warpriest_enhancements
While Addy body gives 2/- Adamantine
And I can spend action points to increase it.
I suppose addy body can give me more AC and PRR but it seems that I should take that way later?
Any help is appreciated.

You get ten DR from favored soul at 20 automatically.

Welcome back, OP. :)
Any particular reason you want a WF FvS? Bladeforged has stolen most of WF's thunder; and FvS are well behind the melee DPS curve these days, unfortunately. Sol Survivor hasn't been considered relevant endgame build in a long time...

LIES! That build is timeless!

I came back to the game and realized I am only a few lives away from Completionist, and I wanted to go for it.
Currently I just need Ranger, Monk, Favored Soul, Druid and Warlock.
Was thinking the +20 SP and +1 Spell Pen would help on Warlock and Druid?
Anyway, I had a WF FVS at 20 (Zweihander was his name) and I had a multi TRed Evoker FVS.
This toon though has a lot of really nice Docents and some "good melee gear" and the WF FVS was super easy to level. I don't know how good it would be in epics though. My Spell DC's will be bad and I know a FVS just isn't going to really smash on things like a real DPS.
But this was a fun build back in the day so wanted to re-visit it. I have a buddy who is my TR Duo partner (he is a punchy melee guy for his TR lives usually). I figured with some healing and modest DPS we would roll through content.
Thanks for the welcome back Unbongwah. Its good to be back.
@Royalties, I was more less curious about the trip to 20. The capstone (if its called that anymore) is really nice IMHO, or at least it was in 2010 >.>

Druids only have a couple of spells which have SR checks: Word of Balance, Finger of Death, and Howl of Terror, IIRC. Since druids are feat-starved, none of them is worth investing in Spell Pen, IMO; I just don't use those spells on mobs with high SR.
For Warlocks, it depends on whether you plan to use their Necro / Enchant spells (which have SR checks) and/or Evard's Tentacles or focus purely on DPS. I won't get into an argument about what's the "best" caster Warlock build; I'll just say it's a build decision you need to make for yourself and plan accordingly.
Anyway, if you're just trying to bang out a HTR to get your FvS PL out of the way on your way to Completionist, WF melee build is still adequate, if hardly ideal. Melee FvS hasn't gotten any heroic buffs since Update 19 revamped the Enhancements; and TBH they were kinda weaksauce to begin with. :( I definitely consider Adamantine Body a must-have for the PRR (http://ddowiki.com/page/PRR), though, which adds a lot of dmg mitigation and stacks with DR. The main question mark, then, is whether you stay pure for the capstone or MC for extra feats and/or defensive stance.

I did my druid life WF with 2(iirc) monk splash as I wanted my PL for if they ever fix pets. Anyway With all the form options in druid it was not a big deal. If you are only going to 20 then you should be just fine with almost any FVS build you only lose one or two feats. You may have to make some hard choices (do I take an armor feat or quicken?) If you plan to TR @ 20 then I say go for it. And lets face it once you get Blade Barrier you will be using it when you solo esp.
As much as I want to make a WFFVS again they need to update the class to reflect the changes to the system. Maybe they will change the DR to PRR/MRR +20 or w/e
