Recently I threw out a large ingredients bag that still had auto collect on and bought a gargantuan bag for my main character Pureholy. The problem is, the large bag that no longer exists is still collecting all my ingredients from chests, whenever I try to craft, or when I kill a mob in an epic quest for scrolls. This is preventing me from being able to collect materials for new items such as legendary green steel or runes from the new raids. I ticketed this both in game and on the support website. I have received no help from either. I would like to be able to return to playing the game properly and make myself some new items. Thank you.

How recently did you throw it out? Is it in the buy back tab at the vendors? That is one of the craziest bugs I have heard in a long time.

Unfortunately it was a couple weeks ago, which makes this impossible to buy back. I didn't start noticing until I went to attempt crafting something.

I had a similar problem with bag.

I ended up acquiring an extra huge ingredients bag. I don't exactly remember how. I think the card event.

Anyway, I already had one. And didn't want a second one. But it was BtC. I couldn't sell or trade it. And it wouldn't let me sell it. So, I destroyed it.

Then it showed back up in my mailbox. So, I thought I would just let the mail expire. Except it hasn't. So I've literally had a message in my mailbox for months now with an attached bag in it that I do not want. Although, I guess if I ever decided that I did want it, I always know where to find it!!

That's the other problem, I talked with some friends and they all tell me their ing bags came back in the mail but mine did not. Not only that but nothing has worked for me attempting to personally resolve it, such as collecting favour from the 12 then proceeding to lock and unlock the item before throwing it away in hopes of it correcting the bug.

This is actually hard to explain logically but it is true.

Some bags (ones from the store mostly) have a sort of deletion prevention.
As things use to work, when you delete said 'protected' bag from your inventory it would get mailed back to you via lost and found.
Lost and found got disabled a ways back for 'some reason,' resulting in you no longer getting the return mail for these bags.
As it currently stands for whatever reason, your bag is still able to auto gather things for it is still tied to your character in some way.

Solutions:
1. Contact a GM to see about the return of said bag, then keep said bag in bank, or delete with auto gather off.
2. Put other bags in first inventory slots with auto gather on. This should give them priority over said deleted bag.

Now option 1 should restore the bag assuming the GM can find it in your account activity (I would like to think it is still tied to your inventory some way), option 2 is just for going forward and is not a real fix or offering any long term solution.

Of note: This is something I ran into a ways back when lost and found worked. I had deleted an empty bag, and then after a few days the bag in the mailbox was up to 25 or so ingredients. I commonly keep bags in last tab, last slots so I moved bags to first page to get things to go into new bag. Removed bag from mailbox, emptied, auto-gather turned off, re-deleted, watched for about a week until it was removed from mailbox with deleted mail.

Nothing new, has been reported several times. Gm will fix by restoring old bag (will have your ingredients). Refer to thread that is linked to above quote.

DO NOT delete bags with auto gather enabled.

Thank you for the reply, I waited a little over three hours after putting the ticket up in game yesterday. I'm just waiting for a solution to this so I can craft my items.

I think bags only come back in the mail if they had at least one item in them.

That is a really s&*%%^ thing to happen, man. Although, I do have to ask. Why would you throw away a Large Ingredients Bag? If it's bta, use it to hold GS ings, Seals, Scrolls, Shards, dragon scales, etc....., and keep them in your shared bank. Thereby making it much easier/quicker to get the ings you want for the toon you you want them on. If they are unbound, put them on the AH/SE. If btc, then, I suppose, if you have four, or more, then, I guess I would toss one, too.

-- edit.. The bta, unbound status goes for all items, not just bags.

Hey OP. Happened to me recently too and Customer Service mailed it to me after I put in a ticket - it didn't return automatically. It's frustrating, but I'm certain you'll get it back.

I subsequently emptied it, turned auto-gather off and re-deleted it with no problems now.
