What you don't like public environmental effects applying to every public instance after being exposed to the effect? Nah they might just be waiting on putting the ice games back out until they can retro all the old ingredients into 'melting' ones to apply the same logic they did with Maybar.

Real life wise it has not snowed up here much to make note of. Actually been unseasonable warm for a bit.

Snow isn't too bad, just a bit on the ground from late last week and weekend. The forecast is calling for a rough weekend ahead, though. Which, somewhat ironically, makes for a great reason to stay inside and play in the snow (Risia Ice Games/Midwinter Festival).
