Legendary Green Steel damage effects general no longer scale with Spell Power.

To put it simply, they took the boom out of boomstick.
If you didn't invest into one, don't. Went from Very OP to replaceable with more spell power granted from random gen items.

+15/+7/+exceptional spell power is the only stick you should make after this, if you even want one.

Isnt the 150 spellpower a different bonus than what you get elsewhere?

Wow . . . just tested mine out. These are such garbage now, complete junk.
Turbine - have the dot's scale with spell power. Do that and it's nice, now I'm gonna have to use the word worthless.

Holy cow, so casters are officially back in the good DPS bracket?

Casterjust went from the "s***" bracket to "maybe they are not that terrible" bracket.

1 LGS stick and 1 TF stick plus one spell crit damage LGS accessory yields a nice dps bump. The swap is between elements on the sticks -- which makes the stat stick idea useless. That's the one change I'd like to see -- stat on accessory.

The screenshot of a chatlog is interesting, but doesn't really confirm anything other than "that one guy said it was true!"
Plus, you might want to black out the choice of language in the picture.

That's most likely just another typing issue, just like the t1 skill bonuses; the value is way too similar to the current equipment bonus. I won't and wouldn't bank on it staying that way.

You're totally right about Legendary Boundless (it's Quality and not Insight but the point is the same) -- I hadn't noticed as the other non LGS stick elements incremented by 25 when I equipped it. You're approach also lets me get rid of planar erudition -- never found those goggles -- which is also very cool. This will be a noticeable improvement.

Not sure if the guys reading and responding to this thread actually know what is going on. There is no spell power stick or item worth running shroud any further. The acid dot that could have been fixed with either the half second cooldown or the no scale with spell power went to totally useless with both nerfs.
The other items craftable are not worth the time or effort necessary for legendary shroud. The devs seriously screwed up both on initial release and with the patch. They went from overpowered shroud items to totally useless. The devs do not understand the game, the player base, customer requirements, and/or product development. This went from being the worst release ever to being the worst patch to the worst release ever.
This could have been fixed by taking a balanced approach to the items, instead they took a rushed unthinking approach with no balance. This happened to all LGS items which are now virtually useless.

I agree that their usual approach to nerfing was in most typical turbine fashion (instead of balancing the dot, they made it useless), which is just sad and infuriating to anyone that went through the process of grinding and making such a stick.
However saying that 150 stacking spellpower is useless, is just wrong. That's a massive buff.
I'm a bit worried though that tinco is right here and this is also not intended.

I think it's mistake on spelling and effect same like with skill boosting. It should be equipment not enchantment bonus. Enchantment comes from enchantment trees not from gear for spellpower.
T1 giving +150 stacking spellpower just another mistake they prob fix in next patch.

I've been playing with the electric stick for a few days prior to the update. The proc rate was horrible, but when it hit - I hit for about 20-30k, and 50-70k on crit (obviously depending on spellpower, wellspring, vulnerable stacks, etc)
Given the poor proc rate though, even if you assume the proc is a crit for that crazy 60k - it wasn't even remotely as good DPS as the triple earth thing.
I don't know why the hell the devs had to nerf a LEGENDARY greensteel effect like this to oblivion. Now my non-crit proc is like 2-3K.
Unbelievable.
At least they should make these procs on CAST, otherwise this stuff has shiradi written all over it.
