View Full Version : Heroic Ghost of a Chance Puzzle Not Working

The ghost of a chance end puzzle currently has a puzzle piece that will not light up when given power from the left side. The specific puzzle piece is not broken however, as it still lights up and passes power on from right to left as well as being able to activate the trap above the tile. As far as I can tell, it occurs ever time on Heroic Elite (I have run 11 times trying to see if I could complete the puzzle with no success).

I had the same trouble on this corner 8 months ago, I bug reported it and filed a ticket to a gm for the quest completion but it seems that it hasn't been fixed yet.

Weird, I've run that quest on heroic Elite since the last update and it worked fine.

No. It's the NE corner that he's working on. Not sure what could be causing the bug.

I typically do all the puzzle tile before turning the power on. Never experienced this problem.

Same here, I didn't experience this problem either when I ran the quest, which was after the last update.

I did that the first 2 times, after that it was just a waste of time to complete the entire puzzle and then check to see if the puzzle piece was working. After that I just solved to this particular piece to see if it was going to allow me to continue on.

I've tried to solve it without using this piece, but I don't believe it is possible. It looks like even the Wiki (http://ddowiki.com/images/thumb/Ghost-chance_puzzle.png/800px-Ghost-chance_puzzle.png) uses this piece to solve. Hopefully a dev can see this and fix it. I just skipped the quest, and luckily I can skip a quest in my saga later on and get it still.

Fortunately you can also complete the quest without doing the puzzle, so even if it really is completely bugged and not some kind of amazing fluke, it's not a disaster.

I do this too. Maybe it makes a difference somehow.

The puzzle can be solved having the light pass from right to left, instead of left to right. nothing is broken here!

It's still broken if light can't pass through a puzzle piece.

It's still broken if light can't pass through a puzzle piece.

The piece might be broken going left to right but it has no impact on completing the puzzle!

For reference, I completed the puzzle on EE using the tiles as shown in wiki.

Yeah, there's a chest behind the boss in the room across the hall that has a key to open the gate and let Worley out. You only really have to kill the boss, the puzzle is actually an optional.
