Could we remove reentry penalties for the party and increase them for the invidual who does it?

Just like Death Penalties eh?

Yes Please to removing the Party aspect!

But why increase the penalty for the individual?

Could we remove reentry penalties for the party and increase them for the invidual who does it?I think you've got it backwards there. Should be no penalty for the individual, and if anything an increased penalty for the group.

Why?

If you're in a party, there's no reason you should have to recall & reenter. In the ever more rare event that a 'mate can't Raise you, they can haul you to a shrine. If they won't do that, they deserve the penalty {edit} which, as Ellis reminded me two posts down, is actually just the loss of a bonus.

Death and Reentry penalty need a rework. First, both 10% bonuses need to be removed, and if this "lost" 20% needs to be added somewhere, add it in the other optionals so that it is out of zergers' reach.

Dying should require higher platinum costs. Not by increasing durability loss, but by increasing plat-per-durability-restored costs. Platinum is already irrelevant to the point that the majority of players do not loot anything that isn't named loot from chests, with the only reason being that they don't need the platinum.

Reentering should just make all chests in the dungeon for that player lose 1 level, stacking up to 5 or 10 or infinitely, I don't know.

There is too much focus on exp/min. Let's add more focus elsewhere so that players start being careful.

How often does it happen that people reenter quests?

The reentry penalty should discourage people (i.e. a group) from leaving a quest (to stock up, heal up, etc.) and reentering. This is neither broken nor an issue which needs fixing. So I ask: "Why"?

Because there are trolls who understand the mechanic and new players who don't.

Because there are trolls who understand the mechanic and new players who don't.For my groups, a player gets one "freeby" reentry (after all one reentry on one quest isn't much XP loss) but it comes with a warning/advice: "No need to exit & reenter because we'll help you - should you exit again from this quest or another one - you'll be dropped from the group." I've only had to drop someone 2 or 3 times in the last several years of pugging.

This is an utterly terrible idea.

If a party has only one person that can raise, and they wipe and want to continue where they are, you are saying that the person that can raise should take a bigger penalty than now.

As for people saying noone ever reenters - if you wipe, unless you are less than 2 minutes into the quest, it is almost always the strictly wrong decision, from an XP/minute perspective, to restart the quest. I see idiots do this all the time - 10 minutes into a 20 minute elite quest, they wipe and then restart to preserve 30% of the base XP and 30% of the XP awarded by future optionals - probably less than one-tenth of the completion XP for first timers in the quest (310-350% of base is standard).

The most absurd is when people wipe in Enter the Kobold at the boss and restart, wasting the 20 minutes invested in the quest in order to chase under 3000 XP in bonuses they'd forfeit by reentering. 150 XP per minute.
