Post your favorite Barbarian build

In an effort to find out why barbs are all the rage, I'm asking you all to post your favorite barb build (pure or splash):

1: Class split (e.g. 18 Barb/2 Ftr, 20 Barb, etc)
2: Race
3: Tier 5 Enhancements chosen (which tree or enhancements)
4: 6th Core Enhancement chosen (if applicable)
5: Favorite weapon(s) with this build
6: ED you prefer running in
7: List 1 or 2 items that really boost the experience
8: What makes your build stand out?

I've only run a barb life once, and that was a long time ago as a splash build, so I'd like to see what's what these days. People say that barbs are among the highest DPS builds in game and I'd like to know why!

1: Class split > 16 fighter / 3 rogue / 1 wizzy
2: Race > Human
3: Tier 5 Enhancements chosen > Ravager for the heal on hit/kill
4: 6th Core Enhancement chosen > nope
5: Favorite weapon(s) with this build > therugic stave, the qstaff from ToEE, a ToEE staff, the staff from the archon's trial quests, vampiric staff for some added healing if needbe.
6: ED you prefer running in > untested in epics, either dreadnaught or fury probably
7: List 1 or 2 items that really boost the experience > none honeslty, the weapons help but this is a pretty out of the box run and go random loot gen build.
8: What makes your build stand out? > 6 cleaves, with lots of self healing, its silly

8: What makes your build stand out? The halflings make really cool squealing noises when they connect


Actually using a Riftmaker, not dual halflings. Though it has a halfling slotted as an orange augment. Antique Greataxe/Cleaver at lower levels. THF is excellent for trash fights, which is most fights in the game. My Barb with mostly easily farmed or BtA gear with absolutely no past lives blew my epic and heroic completionist Pale Master with pretty much all named gear out of the water.

If you want to try barbs, why don't you roll a quick iconic barb with BtA gear: Riftmaker, Remnant's Cloak/Bracer, Fleshshaper's Brigandine + maybe the matching amulet, perhaps the Devil's Handiwork set, and go chopping some mobs. Then you can experience it for yourself.

2: Race: dwarf
3: Tier 5 Enhancements chosen (which tree or enhancements): Reavanger
4: 6th Core Enhancement chosen (if applicable): Berserker
(throw your wight around is a trap! may be worth on occult slayer but not on a berserker/reavanger)
5: Favorite weapon(s) with this build: Deathnip in heroics, My huge collection of dwarfen Axes in epics
6: ED you prefer running in: LD when running "regular" quests and Fury in raids and difficult contend (TWF recharges both EDs twice as fast as THF)
7: List 1 or 2 items that really boost the experience: Dual Axe of Famine for the Greater Restorations on vorpals.
8: What makes your build stand out? The baaadaaasss dwarf with two axes style and supreme single target/boss DPS

Thorix build (ravager) is awesome. My alt ran the build for a 'quick' 3x barb past lives and I only had to use Carnifex all the way. Had to feed him +6 supreme ability tome so I had to level him to 23. Just tore up some early epic content such as Battle for eveningstar chain with the ravager capstone enhancement.

4: 6th Core Enhancement chosen (if applicable) Frenzied
5: Favorite weapon(s) with this build Epic Bleeding Edge/TOEE set
6: ED you prefer running in LD
7: List 1 or 2 items that really boost the experience Heal amp + melee power gear
8: What makes your build stand out? The balance of offense and defense

If you want to try barbs, why don't you roll a quick iconic barb with BtA gear: Riftmaker, Remnant's Cloak/Bracer, Fleshshaper's Brigandine + maybe the matching amulet, perhaps the Devil's Handiwork set, and go chopping some mobs.
That's half-a-dozen or so BtA pieces of gear to farm; you and I have very different ideas of what a "quick" build looks like. :cool:
