Is Crystal Cove coming back in 2015?

I'm not sure where to post this but has anyone heard if we are getting another CC this year? A big heads up would be nice as people tend to have a lot going on at years end in general but also those of us who do console gaming have a lot of new awesome games this fall/winter. I just don't want to miss it as I'm not following the forums closely right now.

I don't think we will see Cove again this year.

Usually about this time they are gearing up for Festival (Copper, Silver and Gold Coins found in chests). This event usually starts around or just after US Thanksgiving and goes until usually first week of January.

Crystal Cove was last back for Talk Like a Pirate Day. We have Festivult coming up in December, then the Risia Ice Games and Midwinter Festival early next year. We do not have plans to fit Crystal Cove in by the end of the year.

To be fair, random gen loot is better than most of the items at any level. In my opinion, the spyglass is one of the best items from the Cove. I also use the leather armor on a couple of characters, and the buckler on one. The short sword is situationally useful on a sneaky character, and I use it on my assassin when I'm sneaking around. I have some of the rings and use them from time to time, but they've mostly been replaced with other stuff. Some people might like the Glass Cannon on their arti, but I've never really been keen on it. The hats make great cosmetic items (when you glamer them). The cutlass can be useful on some builds and at least one of the trinkets is good while leveling through heroics. The rest of the stuff is pretty laughably bad.

well, there are plans to buff lootgen. Then, Risia gets very handy, adding icy burst to weapons and reducing their minlevel by 4. For heroics, my assassin has been rocking a holy bloodletter with icy since level 12, very nice.

Yeah, I just can't get into the whole jumping for coins thing. I even bought skates one year to try to figure out why people were all jazzed up about that event. I still don't understand it, and I'm sure I've got the skates somewhere. Plus, I'm too cheap to buy the recipes from people.

Every player matters.

Which is why every time Turbine fires up an event it should have a refresh of some type so that it can appeal to as wide an audience as possible. That's economics 101.

Adding new gear or updating existing gear is the least they can do to help keep the game/events interesting and relevant.

All I ask is about a month's leeway to get over my Risia binging hangover first, and then you may Cove me at will. It's a great way to forget about the cold & ice outside when one can visit a tropical island and slay pirates. ;)

The trinketa are quite goo , with a ml of 4.

I found that the key is to do the jumps lots of times and then, when you can't take the frustration any longer, buy the kit. The frustration helps me get past the cost lol

Lol, I completely disagree. Or maybe you are getting a version of lootgen that I'm not getting? Please share! I use these items on Heroic characters constantly:

Hat
Ornamented Dagger (lvl16: +4 Dagger: Spellcasting Implement +12, Concentration +13, Potency +48, Fire Lore V, Ice Lore V, Lightning Lore V)
Shield (lvl 16: +5 Buckler: AC:7, DR:8, Parrying VIII, Doublestrike 6%, Guardbreaking, Riposte)
Plate (lvl16: +5 Fullplate: +21 AC, Mithral, Demonic Shield, Greater False Life, DR 3/Chaotic, Resistance +4)
Ring (lvl16: Ring: Dexterity +6, Swim +13, Underwater Action, Good Luck +1, Protection +4)
Spyglass (lvl16: Spot +15, Search +15, Use Magical Device +3, True Seeing, Exceptional Intelligence +1)

And of course the other trinkets which are min lvl 5!
