Gave it a bit of formatting in an attempt to understand what you have going on. I was interested as I'm steadily approaching my "final" heroic life and have really been missing my old FvS caster build from when MotU was new.

Basically, what I got out of this is that with "end game" gear and every PL available, FvS can get by. So I'm nowhere near where I'd need to be. Yay me.

Also: Hopefully this character is older than your forum join date suggests. Or I'm just way too slow (or cheap) a player.

Hi Fatimahajji,

I love playing FVS as well - we both on Cannith server and we did numerous runs in DoJ raid and other quests - I am sure you remember me (I hope ^^) - right now as a PDK Paladin.

I actually played FVS for like 3 years solid - geared it up. Love the instate killing (although Palemaster is good here too!) but heals to other people. I liked team play. But then somewhere in the last year - NO ONE needed heals anymore. Everyone in epic was uber and healing was no longer needed. I still fondly remembering imploding/slay living/ etc and throwing heals and rezzes. Mass heals in shroud - that was so awesome. But no one needs it now.

So when I saw your build above I still think about TR?*ng and going back to FVS. =)
I only stopped my FVS dreams due to the state of the DDO game. I still farm out all caster items and WIS related items for ONE DAY - when I play FVS again. =)

Basically, what I got out of this is that with "end game" gear and every PL available, FvS can get by. So I'm nowhere near where I'd need to be. Yay me.

I'm just a filthy casual player, but I have managed to make a somewhat viable FvS Wis based build. Currently 17 FvS / 3 Pal, for Cha to saves and Sacred Defense, but I might change that. Since I don't enjoy XP grinding, I only have 2 Wizard PLs and 0 epic PLs! Still, the toon can solo EE content and is fun to play with, which proves that you don't have to be a full completionist in order to play this class. That being said, you still need end game gear...

My current gear looks like this (and what it should be):

Eyes: Epic Glimpse of the Soul (Visions of Precision)
Head: Epic Halcyonia
Neck: Epic Noxious Embers (Epic Shroud of the Ardent, maybe)
Trinket: Epic Token of the Proven (Epic Litany of the Dead)
Cloak: +10 Cha lootgen (Countenance)
Belt: Epic Belt of Thoughtful Rememberance
Ring: Lantern Ring
Ring: Epic Laurel Helix (something else...)
Gloves: Iron Mitts
Boots: Orcish Privateer's Boots (Greesteel manaboots)
Bracers: Epic Ethereal Bracers
Armor: Epic Emerald Guard
Main hand: TF longsword w/ 150 impulse, +3 all DCs (should be 150 impulse, +5 necro DCs, 22% kinetic lore)
Off hand: Epic Increased Potential
