Ok, I have been a solo player of DDO for a long time, with every character I play unless someone else offers a group or I feel the need for it. My Dwarf Fighter has just come to the point where I, as a premium player, am going through the Vale of Twilight and Finding it far too demanding for just me. However whenever I open a group, no one joins, either because they haven't noticed it or can't be bothered.

I'm well aware that there are people out there willing to help at the right level and make a group but I have no contact with any of them. So really, I was wondering if I should open a thread here when I need a group, as I now do for a while, and arrange it here or whether there is another option that could put me with a group who want to do some quests, and perhaps when the most people are in game? Thank you all who respond, it is most helpful

and you set the level range for 16-18 and specified that you were running on elite? If not, that's why no one is joining.

agreed, on heroics people want to get exp bonuses from streak bravery bonus ( streak or BB in LFMs)

Hmm, I'm not sure. I have a lot of trouble by myself on Normal, so I figure I would need a significantly large group to run Elite. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Putting up a group for elite will generally attract people capable of running elite.

So I should just put up a group? Keep trying until I get one? I suppose, but it might take time to get a group.

Normal is your problem.

Most of us seasoned vets run elite for BB while at level 18. However, now you can disable the bravery bonus. But I have yet to do it...
Throw up an elite LFM. You should fill within a few minutes. Or, keep an eye open for other elite LFM's and join one.

Don't worry too much about the difficulty. After about the 600th time, most vets can pretty much solo the quests.

Ok thanks, I guess I'll do that.

How about The Shroud though? I've tried to get a group for Shroud on Normal and Elite. I've waited for 30 minutes at times and never got a single person in the group. Not sure what to do about that, I've been told it's the most popular raid in the game.

Agreed with those who say to put up the LFM for Elite 16-18. You shouldn't have a problem filling between 7-11pm EST. Just let folks know that you're a little new to the quests, and would appreciate advice on how to run them.

Shroud.... used to be the "go-to" raid in the game, but is not as popular as it was. I still see a few people put up 16-19 groups, but most people just want the mats and don't care about the XP.... take the first 11 people to hit the LFM. If you want to run it at level, weekend evenings may be your best shot, but it'll be far easier to fill and run when you allow the 20-28s in. Matter of fact, if you're willing to expand the level range, I'll bring a 28 and run it with you... just let me know what time.

Shroud is fun, you should definitely do it once, even if you're not planning on making greensteel.

Thanks for replying. Yeah I think when it comes to running the Shroud it is more about the correct time to do it. I will run some other quests for a few days but I will come back to the Shroud later. Gonna try it at level first and will post on the Argonessen forum about when I will do it, and if there are still no takers for that, I will just do the raid with all level characters. Either way I will post here and do it at a hopefully convenient time.

I can tell you that I've found they fill quickest when there's an overlap of the American and Euro server population. 7pm gives people on East Coast US time to eat dinner, etc., and although it's getting late in Europe, there are still quite a few people on. I'd go for a weekday so you don't conflict with guild raids.
