Feat List for 1 ftr/1 wiz/18 warlock

How do you think this would play out? The builder does not have warlock...so I substituted sorc. Figured running around with tower shield and full plate...casting would not be the do or die of it. (Or alternatively in medium armor and shield dropping the shield to cast)

Hi,

You can see the feats in my build (in sig).

A few thoughts:

Very few spells are helped by heighten. The most important spell is Evards. If you want that extra 2 I would take heighten instead of greater spell focus evocation. I don't see quicken in the list, I would take that over the 2nd evocation feat as well. Evocation is really only helping with your pact damage since there is no save on the base damage.

If you are planning to use a shield I would take shield mastery for your fighter feat and improved shield mastery instead of mental toughness. There are several shields that have no arcane spell failure most notably skyvault shield of all levels. With improved shield mastery that is 30 PRR at heroic levels and 15 more PRR at epic levels if you twist in legendary shield mastery.

For level 27 I would take epic defenses over bulwark of defense. That provides 10 PRR and provides more benefit in my opinion.

Instead of third evocation feat I would take extra eldritch blast damage instead. Same with the level 28 feat - there is an ED feat that raises eldritch blast damage.

My choices not in any particular order ... I think you are doing something like the Diabolist (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/461855-Narcissistic-Diabolist-18-warlock-1-Fighter-1-Favored-Soul) I have adjusted the build a bit for what I play the feats below are what I generally go for. +/- race changes & such
I am also assuming heavy armor & shield? if that is not the case then .....

Perhaps the mental toughness and improved mental toughness along with the bulwark's and combat expertise could be exchanged for Shield feats in Heroic and Extra Eldritch damage in Epic, but I think other than that I like the setup.
