View Full Version : Dev's any ETA on fix for Deepwood: Improved Weapon Finesse?

Hello,

Hopefully a Dev see's this, but is there any ETA for when the Deepwood Stalker Enhancement Improved Weapon Finesse will work for throwing? Its currently in the known issues list. Im planning to come back to play the game with the new changes and wanted to make a thrower, but without that enhancement working my build wouldn't be functional.

Also I know the bard swash buckling crit multipler for thrown weapons has been on the known issues for over half a year now, is this ever going to be fixed?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

This is currently expected to be fixed in the next patch, which we are working to get out soon. We'll have more info on the patch as we get closer to it, but it's possible it could be later this week.

I'm excited to hear this! I'm considering running a Drow shuricannon 12 ranger/6 bard/2 rogue (maybe 2 artificer).

Shuricannon's are 20 Monk builds. Everything else is kind of it's own thing and generally has a name.

In fact, I've never seen anyone post a 12Ranger/6Bard/2Rogue build (tho two rogue doesn't get you much but traps skills, I would recommend maybe Fighter for Feats and access to extra Action Boosts in Kensei, also drow offers little compared to human or PDK for dual action boosts :) ), so you can pick your very own name for it!

Well, the rogue is for trap skills. I'm kind of sick of buying store rogues or having to depend on someone else while leveling. I'll figure out the name for it, then! I'm glad you told me Shuricannons are pure monk builds. As soon as this fix drops, I am going to make this build.

I dislike action boosts, so going drow frees up 2 feats for that build, not to mention gets extra dex and extra damage so its pretty nice. As for rogue, if your not going t5 in rogue (I really like t5 dws right now head shot does some nice damage) I find investing in harper to be more worth while (2 extra dex in trade for 4 rp..... deal imo)

Thanks for the update Cord. Do you know if the swashbuckling bug +1 crit multiplier to thrown will also be addressed? I know its been quite awhile since it was listed as a known issue.

As someone else mentioned, most critical multiplier increases are broken with thrown weapons, any idea if this will get looked at, several builds id like to try but cannot due to this issue.

Just have to ask. If the crit range isn't being expanded with the class enhancements, does the Halfling racial enhancement apply correctly? Does anyone know? I was going Drow to get Shuriken proficiency and Shuriken Expertise for free, relying on DWS for dexterity-to-damage and the crit range expansion (from the 12th level core). If I have to go Halfling, the enhancements are going to be super tight and I probably won't get all the goodies I want. It would also require me to take Artificer rather than Rogue because I would get Rapid Shot for free.
