View Full Version : Epic Pastlife Doubleshot bug and workarounds

I have noticed that if you turn the epic past life feat Doubleshot off, it will not turn back on reliably. I am going off the reported doubleshot in the character sheet.
Workarounds:
Simplest workaround I have found is to turn on/toggle Doublestrike – this will get the doubleshot to show up again.
Resetting enhancements while turned on also seems to reenable the doubleshot feet.
Turning it on and relogging will also fix it.
So if you have it on when you login and never turn it off – you will not see the problem. I noticed this because I switch between Fast Healing and Doubleshot.
Anybody else seeing this?

The character sheet currently doesn't update Doubleshot until you close and re-open the Character Sheet. (Certain other things may jog it, but that's the easiest one). You do have the Doubleshot, the sheet just isn't showing it. This is fixed on Lamannia, and should be in an upcoming patch.
If that doesn't explain what you're seeing here, please let us know! :)

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes - closing and reopening the character sheet also updates it for me. Why didn't I think of that...

Energy Criticals was broken too. Even though it shows that it was on in the toolbar, it actually wasn't. You have to toggle it off and then back on again for it to apply. Has this been fixed too? I never saw anything in the release notes and I stopped playing a sorc a few months ago.

Also fixed on current Lamannia.

Also fixed on current Lamannia.
And since we have your attention and you are looking at the code... :-)
Why do PowerAttack and the Stalwart Defense stance turn off at login? That is seriously inconvenient. I forget to turn them back on constantly.
And I am pretty sure that all the prism / stay frosty / stay good exploits from Shiradi have been fixed. Maybe we can let those stay on as well now?

Also Eschew Materials has to be turned on every time you log on.

Pretty much every stance should remember how it was toggled upon logoff, when you log back on. This includes (but totally not limited to, just what I can think of/saw listed in this thread):
Fatesinger's Harmonic Resonance
Warlock
Eldritch Blast stances other than the basic blast
Aura of Courage
Aura of Menace
Celestial Spirit (also annoying as heck that this turns off when you go below 0 HP, I'm generally too busy trying to get myself back in shape to remember to toggle it back on!)
Favored Soul
Aura of Menace
Divine Vessel
Power Attack
Barbarian Power Attack
Paladin Sacred Defense
Fighter Stalwart Defense
Combat Expertise (apparently)
Eschew Materials (apparently - though I would assume the Harper version and not the Metamagic version)
Every character I have has a section of hotbar devoted to stuff that needs turning back on upon login. Some are just the Spider Cult Mask, but far too many include stances that would otherwise be permanent. And while some I'd keep regardless (switching EDs, wanting to turn off Aura of Menace, wanting to switch ED blast forms, etc.) many of these would stop cluttering my hotbars if they stayed on. I *never* want to not have PA. I *never* want to not have Sacred Defense. I *never* (...well, OK, maybe only extremely rarely) want to not have Divine Vessel

the feat or the thing from harper? The feat.
I imagine few people take it, but my dual-box openers have it and I have to toggle it back on every time I log on. Or at least I did, until somebody helpfully pointed out I could set it to always on for all the spells that use components.
