So... today I was doing a bit of inventory and bank cleaning. And let me preface by saying that I realize that I am at the upper end of the "hoarder scale" since on my main account I have 5-6 actively played characters and 24-25 inactives/mules. We won't discuss alternate accounts and the possibility that I may have several which might also be filled with stuff that some person might not want to get rid of either... that wouldn't be excessively hoarderish... would it?
In any case, as I was logging in and out of various characters... shifting stuff to the shared bank... out of the shared bank... etc. I began dreaming of a happy world where there was a "bank" logon at the character login screen. In this happy world, any character that was flagged as being logged off in a bank or airship could be accessed without having to log into the full world client. You click on character A, have access to inventory and bank tabs. Move stuff around and then just click on character B. No loading past that of saving all character As storage information and then pulling up character B's. Wouldn't that be a happy world for the hoarders among us?
Devs... I would pay gladly to live in that world.

I think I'd pay $20 straight-up for such a feature.

We need a feature that achieves this goal or just a great deal more Shared Bank storage. The time savings would be worth mucho TP.

I was thinking player housing where I could stuff the closets, fill the vault, suit up the mannequins, fill the display cases all while the succubus does her purr and cleans my house.
A kobold butler hangs out to buy any excess shinies and provide vendor services.
Player housing would make a great expandable shared storage area.. lots of opportunity to buy add-ons from the DDO store for extra wall hooks, display cases, mannequins, fire dragon head fireplaces, etc...

I'll see your $20 and raise it to $40.
Quality of life and efficiency in this matter are worth at least that.

I'd pay for the original idea depending on price, but I would totally pay for Jotmon's housing and upgrades.

Please excuse my ignorance but does DDO support a scripting language to make User Interface plug-ins?
I ask because LOTRO includes such a language and a clever player used it to create a plug-in that tracks storage across all characters on an account. When accessing a character's bags, bank, or shared storage, the plug-in takes a 'snap shot' of the contents. Then, as the player moves items around, the plug-in keeps track of what ends up where. Once the plug-in 'sees' every character on an account, it can then display storage information for all characters from the current active character.
I realize this only accomplishes half of what the original poster desires, but perhaps half a solution would help until something better comes along.
