Also, since buying items is much quicker, we’ve streamlined the # of buttons that appear in the store, and removed the cart functionality.

What happened to the Cart?
o The cart was removed as a way to clean up the store interface. Also, given that the new store is substantially faster and easier to navigate, you shouldn’t need it going forward.

Having not seen the new store I know I use the cart feature all the time and as of right now I feel disappointed that it is going away.

The cart is used to determine what I am actually going to purchase, I put 20 items in, get tot he checkout and then decide what items I am going to put back.

I think it needs to come back.

Like:
being able to see all items in a category (like all adventure packs) right away, without having to go to a subcategory first. that one *really* annoyed me. Small thing, but kinda... ya.

confusing:
'Filter for character' to be added later... hope the items as such are marked as 'not usable' or 'unpurchaseable' though, otherwise people might end up buying adventure packs twice.

Good:
Cleaning up the interface
Getting rid of the bloody menus

Bad:
Booger Fling and scrubway cards as payment options? How does that work?

Ugly:
No cart? I mean seriously you are one mistaken click away from not getting a refund on something you don't need. I see this as a problem, particularly when you are trying to optimize your purchases based on the number of TP you have. Fortunately the only packs I don't own are the two newest so I'll probably not bother.

Not to mention what happens when you have promotions of "x% off for spending Y-points", etc.? If every item is now, effectively, individually purchased, how would such promotions work?

While I like the "buy it now" option, I also like stocking up a cart and reviewing before final purchase.

At least, sometimes...

While I use the quick buy option often if I know when I want something or the free item of the week, when there are sales I like to have the cart so I can check the total price and compare to my self-imposed budget to determine if I should buy everything I want.

Add the My Cart back into the top and a Add To Cart button before the quantity.

BOKU will be back? Yay, finally after more than half of year of retirement I can come back and actually buy something from the store \o/

Ya know what would be great? Every update I'm looking all over the place for the new monster manual, the new quest pack, the new shared bank tabs, etc.

Can we get a button up by 'bestsellers' and 'current sales' that say 'new to the ddo store' that just brings up everything that was released with the latest update?

Yes I know that option exists in the menu somewhere.

That's part of the new specials section. Granted it won't be just the new items.

There is a new Specials section! We now have a SPECIALS section of the Store that will highlight promotions, Turbine Point sales, new items, & more.

In the old DDO Store you can browse Adventure packs this way:

https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/TbciLGU.jpg

But not many players knew that you could also see all the packs in one list by clicking on the Adventure packs (and sometimes the only way to see some packs during bugs):

I hope that in the new store there will be a proper way to see all missing packs.

Another matter: please let players to buy Shadowfell expansion pack (without forcing them to pay for Iconic characters, even when they already have bought them), that is, give a non-bundle option too.

Liking what I can see of the new store for the most part.

The shopping cart will be missed. Roughly only about half my purchases are done with the quick buy and when done that way it's usually just for the small dollar (tp) purchases. Bigger buys take a bit more thought and comparison. Cart is the preferred method when it comes time to think before buying.

I don't see the ability to buy gifts for other players. Is this something you are considering? Please? You're missing out on a pretty big cash cow without it. The holidays are coming but there are always people looking for a good gift. Make your store more accessible. Point cards? A good start but more is needed. If I had a choice between giving my 6 year The Vale of Twilight or a point card worth the same amount of points, which do you think I would choose? Which would you choose for your child?

Looking forward to the new store. It looks streamlined and convenient.

I do not think it makes much sense to remove the cart functionality just to "cleanup the interface." I doubt that is the real reason since a little "Cart" button isn't all that much of a clutter. It could be neatly placed next to the recent purchases icon. Writing the code for a cart function takes a lot of time. And that I most likely the reason. But everyone who does anything online is accustomed to a cart on an online store and it just very strange to not have one.

My advice: delay the release of the store until you have time to complete a cart. You are going backwards without it.

:There are a small handful of items, due to the way they were designed, that need to be reworked. We will be working to make them available as soon as possible."

Could you provide a list of the items that will not be in the store so we don't waste time looking for them?

No plan to let VIPS buy things on sale (like packs, bank etc) to have them permanently?

it seems from your faq that VIPs will be again exlcuded from sales and special discounts... great...

it seems these i have will be my LAST vip months ever... never going to buy vip subscription again if it has to limit me so much.

I hope we get a good amount of notification time before you bring down the servers to bring the DDO Store update, I have a lot of points and I will be taking a screen shot of the current store just in case something goes wrong with the update.

It does this. The Filter for Character on the current store only prevents you from seeing stuff that your current character doesn't meet the level requirement for. So you, say, can only see the augments that are closest to your level, not anything lower or higher. Personally, I find this more annoying than anything.

I almost never use quick buy, preferring the cart. Add my name to the list of people who want the cart.

The cart was removed and you can also 'disable confirmation message' on purchases - sounds like a couple of bad decisions to me, not made with the best interest of the buyer in mind.

Frankly, I didn't know there was any problem with the current store other than the sorting functionality when comparing items or browsing. If that is fixed then great but the rest is just meh.

How would "Determine Your Discount" work without the cart? Or is the plan to no longer have it anymore?

I would very much like the Cart to stay, I'm one of those people who will add a few items to it, review the cost, maybe throw in the 'Determine your discount Code' and tweak things around until I am happy with the results.

No Cart means a much less user friendly store in my opinion.

So. is there a secret UI revamp coming too?

Because the UI looks super clean and modern in those screenshots, so one would have to wonder (hope) if the game UI is getting a facelift as well to match?

I use hirelings. Some don't like em, I do.

I used to be able to click in, pick a rogue, wiz, sorc, and/or fighter, toss them in the cart as I went, make certain I have the party I want, hit buy and go.

Now I have to go to hirelings, go to mid level hirelings, sort so all the same kind are together, pick a toon, pay, open backpack so I know what I already bought, go back to hirelings, go to midlevel hirelings, pick a rogue, wiz, sorc, and/or fighter, check backpack to make certain I didn't already buy this guy, pay, go back to hirelings...

This is an improvement how?

1. "The cart was removed as a way to clean up the store interface. Also, given that the new store is substantially faster and easier to navigate, you shouldn’t need it going forward."

Yeah...it is definitely *not* faster without the cart or even the old quick buy method. The new scheme has you clicking individual purchases, not shopping by adding and subtracting to a cart then purchasing all at once. Way too many clicks and panel changes allowing opportunity for lag spikes to hose up real $$$. There is a reason real life uses carts and not the bring one item to the counter then go get another item the new method has us doing. Favorites is not much better. How about putting a check box I can run down a list and click then at the bottom click purchase checked items or ever just purchase favorites and make this a one click store experience for regular purchases; open store, click purchase favorites - that will be fantastic.

2. Cannot purchase points.

I don't see a "Turbine Points" tab. I see a wallet with a "+". I click the "+" which brings up a selection of point purchase options. Clicking a button on an option does exactly nothing. Now I didn't go to economics school but not being able to get the currency used in the store seems a bit counter to the concept.

3. Character filter not there ?

Filtering must be inherent because I cannot purchase gold seal hirelings over the character level as they do not appear in the listing any more. Gold seals are supposed to be usable +2 level over character level so... what's going on ?

I can't actually buy points in the store. I click on the plus, and then I click on the amount I want, and I see the button depress on the screen, but nothing happens. Also, I would like to add that I miss the cart too.
