I just came back to the game after a few years and discovered my old rogue build had gone from great to sub-optimal. I tr'd my character and made her a barb / rogue and her new build was motivated by a guildie telling me that he has trouble playing ranged characters because they always are squishy. I'm hoping people with more recent playing experience can help me perfect it.

The paly and rogue past lives are great because rogue boosts saves vs traps and paly increases the effectiveness of the self heals, or I assume they do. Speaking of self heals, the character heals herself as she shoots things, gets 150+ temporary hp randomly when hit, can rage to give herself a boost to hp, and has max umd.

As far as damage, she does 1d20+ force damage as she shoots things once per second, and has a chaos damage shield that damages whatever hits her. She has an increased threat range by 2 when she's raging as well. The self healing and force and chaos damage are boosted by melee power which I increase with harper enhancements and the action boost barb enh that raises melee power by 20 for 20 seconds. Also she has the ability to wear a runearm which adds damage and effects to the weapon and its damage depending on the arm. I love runearms. Also infinite bolts, or the ability to summon stacks of 1k at a time. Due to a pair of harper enh, her x-bows use int as their stat for hit and damage.

When this character is raged she gets increased will saves which I mention because she has an enh that gives her slippery mind. And of course the increased hp.

As far as durability she has barb dr which is increased by enhancements, barb enhancements that raise her hp, toughness, evasion, and increased physical and magic resistance which increase as her weapon bond number increases.

I neglected balance because she has an enh that says she can't be knocked down.
