As a noob to the barbarian way of life...I was wondering what you guys think about the above weapon sets. Which would be better? I definitely like the idea of the x4 crit, but I'm weighing the options of better survivability with the kopeshes. Any thoughts?
Or...is it just more prudent to simply slot of bunch of golem's hearts for the extra healing help?

You must never deviate from Fvs. No matter what.

Yes, I know this, however, there was literally nothing left for me on Juggles so I wanted to try a taste of something new.
I've been using your guide on optimal barbarian gear :P

From what I've seen and from other's testing it, more than one doesn't stack.

I've got 10 or so on my barb with a 310 amp and I still need more healing. I use the bleeding edge and with that healing I'm able to drop blood strength and go tier 5 in frenzied for more dps. Without the bleeding edge you're stuck relying on the healing from blood strength. You wouldn't need two bleeding edges either. Use it in your main hand with temple set in off-hand for melee power.

Wait, you are telling me that only with the healing of bleeding edge you keep your barbarian up?
Do you play alone or with people who heal you? What kind of content do you play?
For solos in top end I find that accelerated metabolism is insufficient to keep me up, let alone the 5-10 HPs per hit of a single bleeding edge.
I think this statement requires more qualification.

no, i'm using accelerated metablism with the vampirism from bleeding edge. the healing from the bleeding edge at 300 amp is 5, 10 and 14. you add in anywhere from 100-200 every 4 seconds from accelerated metablism (depending where your melee power is at). it is very sustainable and consistant healing. i solo alot, i spend a lot of my time in EE demon assault w/out hierling heals
this allows more flexibility with action points as you're not spending 41 in frenzied to get chaos eye and another 35-36 in ravager to get tier 5. you can now spend 41 in frenzied get more dps in tier 5 than ravager and spend more action points in other areas of need.

I would be very careful moving towards accelerated metabolism. Cleaving demon assault can end most of the mobs fast, but in quests with badass archers or taking more damage I think it would be really hard to stay up with that.
I agree with you that ravaged plus frenzied locks you down completely and I really want to break out from it. However, I think it is a risky move for solo play. The amount of healing you get from blood strength is exceptionally good. For seconds in Ddo can result in a lot of damage.
Perhaps you can pull it off, sadly I can't.

I've been using that combination for a while now and i can assure you the healing is excellent. the healing amp, and melee power is essential its what you build around. when you healing every 4 seconds plus every main hand hit you can sustain yourself. archers can be annoying, but barbs get improved uncanny dodge. its hard to kill you when they can't hit you

I am trying a variety of possibilities. I find that in the current end game (legendary quests plus raids) MRR is important, so perhaps giving up on healing a bit is not such a bad idea. In any case, kudos for rocking this hardcore combinations!

well by going tier 5 and capstone in frenzied it gives you 39 more action points to play with. so with that i have been able to use 23 points into occult slayer to help with defenses. and you can add even more dps with driving force and bond of retribution.
