I stopped playing DDO in like mid 2013 because I started playing other game. I came back to Thelanis. It seems pretty dead. Except maybe around 7-9PM EST because the two Harbor and Marketplace instances. We barely have anyone LFGs anymore, maybe 15 on a good day. No one talks in the general chat really. So I started looking on Ghallanda. When I logged on they've had about 16-32 LFGs up. I would like people from those servers to tell me how the community is there and how active it actually is?

Ghallanda is the undisputed greatest server of any game that has ever existed or ever will exist. Don't be fooled by the neo-maxi-zoom-dweebies on other servers who will try and fool into making the same mistake they made by choosing some other non-Ghallanda server. When you do decide to do the right thing and come over to Ghallanda make sure you contact Maeglyne or Joxstero from Twilight Marauders for +6 tomes. They giving them all transfers to the server.

Howdy Annairb!

For a 10 yr old game .... the great DDO community of years passed is surprisingly still kickin, you just need to know where to look.

The best thing you can do in my honest opinion join an active and fun guild because that's where the camaraderie and teamwork runs wild. Here's a little bit about our fabled & fun guild we call Tyrs Paladium...

Tyrs Paladium is an active medium/large sized guild that has two simple concepts. We are drama free and we don't zerg. We are quite organized and live by our motto: Play hard, laugh hard and win, together. We are very friendly to the returning player or veteran player that likes to group with knowledgeable folks without all the typical egos, drama and riff-raff of the typical guild. And Yes we actually enforce our policies.

We do raids weekly, and you can sign up on our guild site for scheduled content in our Tyrs War Room. The entire website has complete mobile access including signing up quests and raids!

We have one of the most active guild websites there is, created by and for guildies only. On this site, you could find plenty of game tips in the Tyrs Library, sign up for scheduled quests & raids in the Tyrs War Room (on our site or on your Android or iPhone mobile device), shoot the sh!t in the Tyrs Tavern, or listen to our esoteric MP3 player in the Tyrs Mosh Pit!

If you don't mind, I'd like to share a few links with you.

This is our site. Its private, however you can see a few things, and even peek at our guild rules.

DDO Forums thread promoting our guild.

Once you read our guild rules, if you think they are fair, let me know and we'll get you in right away!

Travel well,
Leslie

Ghallanda is a great place, I enjoy it. There are a pretty nice amount of LFG's posted most of the time, the people are generally nice, and it's got a mix of both North American and European players on it.

In response to people saying it's buggy, that's because a month or so ago there was a series of server crashes on Ghallanda. It's been fixed and we haven't had an issue in weeks :)

There are lots of community events (such as vet day celebrations, trivia games for prizes, and my own secret santa) and while the vast majority (if not all) are open to the public, you are in no way obligated to take part in them.

I personally am glad Ghallanda was the default server when I joined the game, I wouldn't change servers if they paid me :)

Ghallanda is inherently superior to all other servers and receive certain perks unavailable elsewhere. The developers sort through all pixels and reserve the finest, hand crafted pixels for Ghallanda. We have special Guest DMing by the likes of Morgan Freeman, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Mark Twain and others. There are special GMs reserved to perform tasks such as sharing quests and the organizing of your bank and mule toons. All items obtained from breakables on the Ghallanda server drop actual RL gold and platinum which will be transferred to a bank account of your choosing. Ghallanda has been set aside as an official safe haven for the coming zombie apocalypse and Ghallanda and only Ghallanda will receive vital supplies and antidotes. The Ghallanda school system consistently rates above the game average in college placement and Ghallanda has received the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. 5 out of 5 dentists recommend Ghallanda for their patients who play DDO.
Also, the official seal of Ghallanda is an awesome looking wolf so we are kind of like the House Stark of DDO which is obviously the coolest of all the Houses.

Lastly, if you do end up over here, post your characters name in this thread and I'll send you some coin to help you get started. All joking aside, we are good like that.
Good luck where ever you end up. :)
