Hello,

I haven't played my bard in a long long time.

I was playing a warchanter. Back when I last played him, warchanter enhancements were a lot different. And there wasn't even the swashbuckler enhancement.
Reading through the forums I see that swashbuckler is the go-to line these days. But personally I like playing/fighting using 2 weapons.

Just so you know, regardless of what split or build I play, it WILL be a dwarf. :)

What is the best setup for playing a bard with twf now? Would it be a bard/rogue split? Im not much for ranged damage, so not sure if ranger is a good fit or not. Or if its worth it for tempest.

Any help and suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks.

If you were willing to give swashbuckler a whirl, here's an excellent, 100% dwarf build:

If you want a Swashbuckler, there's about a bazillion builds to choose from in the forums. If you want to stick with TWF Warchanter, have a look at War Dancer (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/454864-War-Dancer); despite the hvy rgr splash, it doesn't use a bow - it's all about the Tempest enhs, particularly Dance of Death.

Brief details on my TWF Warchanter.

Dwarf
13/6/1
Bard Fighter FVS (16/3/1 would probably be better)

Basically a good dps, great buffing, solid defence and good freezing (stun) toon

Stats
Good str, but cha based for higher Freeze DCs
Decent int and con

Enhancements
Deep into Warchanter for Freezes (stuns) and top range buffing
Know the Angles from Harper (+1/2 int bonus to damage)
Divine Might from FVS (+cha to str)
Deepish into Stalwart for defence
Stunning bonuses from Kensai, Vanguard, Dwarf

Offence
Dual wielding warhammers, leveraging expanded crit range from Legendary Dreadnought
Twists Sense Weakness, combined with Combat Brute from legendary Dreadnought = up to 80% extra damage vs helppless
Can freeze mobs in large numbers - creating helpless state

Defence
Wearing medium armour. Has decent dodge/displace/ghostly/good PRR/ok MRR/good saves

Let me know if you want the full character build. It worked well.
