I've run the raid a few times all on normal. With a really good group with high to very high DPS it went OK, lag was the main problem. Other times with pugs we didn't get the boss down fast enough and were smoked by the bombardment. Could the killers circles be reduced to 1 at a time so you don't get instant party wipe? And yes, even high evasion, reflex, dodge toons were getting smashed to -1800 hp.

On normal difficulty I think it should be able to be completed by regular (i.e.not uber) people working together. Good coordination and team work really don't matter if the yellow circles are everywhere wiping everyone out.

It is an endgame raid. There should be a risk of failure.

The instant wipe can be prevented, just a bit of planning and coordination is needed.

If there were no lag I would agree with you. but this is DDO we're talking about.

The only thing I think that need to be addressed with these is the area of effect should actually be the size of the circle and not 4x the size.

im shocked.

I agree with you.

lag is getting bad for me. running up a wizard to see how bad the dc issue is and having issues in heroics. nothing like steamrolling a quest to just freeze and watch your char get poked. over. and over by a freaking kobold

i think not having enough dps in a 12 man group to kill the wurm and end boss before their specials are up on epic normal is something of an achievement, if you just clobber them...idk you should never have an issue on en...

have done a hard run where there was enough dps to kill the bosses before they could use their specials, perfectly avoidable with enough dps, and enough isnt a very large amount on enorm.

I rewatched some videos and the notice between the visual and the damage is very very short (exactly 3 seconds) for how big the AOE range is. So I would for sure keep the damage but either the range of AOE or the time of the notice need some tweaking.

I just don't want to see this nerfed like the Thunderpeaks were.

I would really prefer an actual boss fight instead of a "Kill her before she kills us" race. On EN and EH the boss beatdown is just a matter of seconds, which is dumb.

Making her a lot tougher and the bombardement more fair would be appreciated in order to make the raid more fun.

Yeah but you can't nerf the bombs again like it happened with Thunder Peaks. That change made Peaks a snoze fest even on hard with absolutely no real threat or challenge.

I did some runs yesterday and for the first time I didn't die to the circles, so it's definetely avoidable. The problem is that you have a really short time window to move away (and you have to move really far away) so people without wings are screwed.

What should change is:

1) the time window between the circle on the ground and the actual damage. As Rys said, 3 seconds is too short for such a large AoE.
2) the color of the circles. Everything is red/orange in that fight and sometimes I wouldn't see the circles on the ground in that confusion. I wouldn't mind the circles being the same color as the worm's attack.

I was thinking about making her a phase boss, such as LoB:

At 75% she spawns some trash.
At 50% she starts with bombs
At 25% she spawns more trash and the red Pit Fiends.

Doesn't matter how much DPS you have, you will face those 3 phases.

The changes in a similar way as quoted would be really nice. The fight would be way more interesting in a full group.

Agreed. Though I don't really mind something really dangerous for the higher difficulties. Her hp are a real problem. Since the fight was over so fast every time I was in there I can't actually tell how fair it is. I think infernos how they used to be in evon6 should are well balanced.

Please no extra trash spawns. The hounds in LoB were really cool, but what made that fight really cool wasn't the trash but the stuff like whirlwind and rain of blades.
What was also nicer in LoB. It didn't have any indicators on the floor. Instead you had to watch out for what the LoB was doing to prepare for his attacks.

Risk of failure due to inaccurate indicators of an aoe attack, circumvented by having to kill the boss faster than she can launch that attack? As if lag is not enough risk? Not sure if trolling.

The trash mobs in the last phase is what wiped most of the runs on higher difficulties. I disagree that the trash wasn't cool. More trash means more chaos, which leads to more wipes, which is more fun to me.

This boss cannot be as cool as LoB. It doesn't have any special attack other than Dragon Breath.

The thing is that LoB was all about the one bossfight. I mean yes there was the way to the boss but that part is all about getting through slowly without deaths and without wasting resources (unless you are speed running). So it makes sense to have trash in there at some points. What I also really liked about LoB was that the trash basically put a timer on the group. You just want to finish the raid at that point which is really cool because it makes things hectic and then you get some really epic finishes where maybe half the group is dead and you barely manage to kill the boss. That's in general the reason to have phases. So there are these really exiting moments when you move on to the next one.

In DoJ there is already a large phase where we have to deal with trash so I don't think that should be the focus in the bossfight (besides there already the corupted archons). So when there is the option to either add trash or add special attacks I think special attacks would be the way to go.
