I am planning my next TR to be a Morninglord Warlock and keeping the one level of Cleric. Do I want to keep only the one so I can access Howl of Terror and +1d4 pact damage or take the two, losing Howl but picking up an additional 9 universal spell power and +2% spell criticals through enhancements?

My plan is to run in Shiradi and eTR twice to finish off my Colors of the Queen x3.

Basically, is Howl and the pact damage worth 9 spell power and 2% Crit damage?

If I go with howl I kniw I can twist on the +3DC fear based spell enhance from I think draconic and I'll be Cha based.

Thoughts?
Thanks.

IMO,warlock only need evo dc to max eb damage, especially when u are shiradi ed...besides,black tentacles usually made mobs helpless even in ee,so u dont really need Howl of terror..

Isn't Pact dmg increased on even lvls, not odd? I don't see how going warlock 18->19 would affect that.

I was always underwhelmed by Howl of Terror on my WIS-based wolf builds; of course, that was because Earthquake was usually way more reliable CC. Although I think the better question is: do you want more than one lvl 6 spell as well as HoT?

You lose an eldritch die if you drop to Warlock 16.
You lose a pact die if you drop to Warlock 17.

So from dropping from 19 to 18 you'll lose Howl of Terror, a 6th level spell, and 1 point of spell penetration.

My question would be why do cleric 2? Going from 1st level cleric to 2nd level cleric doesn't net much.

Level 1 Barbarian can increase your movement speed
Level 1 Fighter can give you a free fighter feat and tower shield prof.
Level 1 Monk or Wizard can give you free feats as well.

2nd level of cleric will also give you access to wall of steel in warchanter for the handy PRR boost, so it's a matter of personal preference i think.

there have been reports on the forums that the +3 DC to fear spells from Draconic does not seem to work with Warlock or Howl of Terror or both.

I'm inferring OP wants T2 DiDi enhs:
