I've seen this multiple times of late when I take on a single very tough high hp opponent with my heavy armor/tower shield warlock 19 / Fighter 1.

My attack moves ( used in rapid sequence as soon as their cooldowns expire )
-------------------------------
Edrtich aura ( automatic every 2 seconds )
Eldritch burst ( every 5 seconds )
eldritch blast ( every 5 seconds )
Stricken ( every 10 seconds ) maxed up to tier 4 enhancements with all the bells and whistles
consume ( every 10 seconds ) maxed up to Tier 4 enhancements with all the bells and whistles
melee attack ( every chance I get between special ability attacks )
shield bash ( automatic 30% chance as I melee attack )

non-attack actions
--------------------------------
Refresh Displacement as needed
poised to refresh my temp hp should I take too much damage except that doesn't happen ....

Because they don't land a single attack on me. Near as I can tell they don't even try. I think I'm disrupting their attack sequence and they just stand there helpless while I beat on them. I finish the fight without a scratch.

Examples of whom i've done this to
------------------------------------------------
Alone against the epic elite red-name Hezrou at the end of Servants of the Overlord
( while the other 5 members of the group took on the priestess. I finished first. )

The epic elite inn keeper in A Stay at the Inn
( soloing the quest at level 24 trying to get a higher level shield )

Doesn't work on everyone. For example some red-named spellcaster can still get their spells off. ( Quicken? ) And it only works on one opponent at a time. Multiple opponents can still hurt or even kill me. I think it's stricken that does it. That enemies under the strickened effect when hit by an attack suffer a fractional second delay before they can attack and with all my attacks going off in fast sequence as I can manage they never get that chance.

I designed this guy to be tough. ( a tank warlock ) And he's turned out stronger than I thought he would be but this seems like a bug. Thoughts?

You are using a shield with guardbreaking, aren't you?

No, Heroic Normal Bastion Tower Shield
+10% shield bash rate. and I think +2d6 shield bash damage

Odd. From the description it sounded like what my bard/swashie saw with the cove shield.
