I can't believe this game is still going strong. I haven't played seriously since the cap was level 10, and I posted my Longblade 2pally/8sorc, but warlock is making me consider coming back. However there is a lot of stuff that is very new to me. So I was thinking of making a pure lvl 20 warlock that focuses on Melee.

THE NEW LONGBLADE BUILD
Race Drow, rapier
thinking I can hit 40int in heroics.
I'm thinking of ES (41pts), SE (25ps), TS (1pt), Harper (13pts). It would be a full int build that uses the Warlock aura and TWF melee. The big questions are:
- does Spiritual Retribution's and Greater Hunger's damage scale 150% with spell power when procing from melee?
- is the proc affected by spell crit mods?
- will maximize/empower affect Spiritual Retribution melee damage?

The light/universal spell power will be around 440 EDIT(AFTER) including items, but before maximize or empower.
Spiritual Retribution should an average of 80 per swing with 250 in equipment, implement and alchemical bonuses (edited) if max/emp work ~107 per swing
Greater Hunger should an average of 80 per swing with 250 in equipment, implement and alchemical bonuses (edited)

with Harper Int melee damage and Know the Angles 22 per swing, and power attack +5.

We are looking at 187 dam (214 if max/emp work)+weapon damage per swing, 80% chance for offhand swings by lvl 20.

Is this the way things work or am I missing something?

Looks like i have 2 old accounts... who knew!!

also forgot about the +4 damage from SE core at tier 4 (as well a lot of other stuff I'm sure). If anyone can confirm the spellpower thing, I will post the full build and I hope hop on before the end of the month!!

Welcome back!

Would love to see a break down of that SP. Would that be at level 20?

The 440 number is AFTER I added equipment not before...
Did look too good to be true. :)

This is for lvl 20 so far. Haven't had a chance to take a look at the epic destinies yet. No point in going further if spell power works differently for these enhancements.

The breakdown is:
ES tier 6 core: 20light and 10universal
Enlightened power II and III 30light and 18universal

SE tier 4 core: 20 universal
Hungry for Destruction I and II 12universal

Harper 8universal

Spellcraft: 23ranks, 15int, 20item, 5int skills, 3feat, 5tome, 3exceptional (assume there are other goodies I don't know about).

Any feedback on if I'm correct about how spell power works with these new warlock enhancements?
I just saw a video with 1,000's flying across the screen on a TWFer. Is +160 or +180 damage even meaningful after getting past lvl 20?

...also, it looks like I made some mistakes on how spellpower stacks on items. What is the realistic maximum radiance you can get from items by lvl 20?
