Hey Guys!

I have seen a lot of arguments on here over which spell focus a warlock should choose.

It seems like the knee jerk reaction would be to take Evocation to keep your blast from being saved against. However I have seen arguments for Necro and Enchant as they would have better synergy with some of the enhancement lines and pact choices.

Anyway I am interested in what your thoughts are and why you chose what you did.

Thanks!

I'm a fan of Conjuration. It boosts Web and Evard's, and if you go for Kindred Being in Magister (especially if stacking on Primal Avatar and ES summon buffs) it gives you Golems, which are about as tough as a summon as you'll find already.

Though both Enchantment and Necro can be high value as well. And if you REALLY like Phantasmal Killer, and/or want a pet Dream Reaver, there's Illusion.

And for Fey Pact, Transmutation can make your Slow actually land sometimes, and boost your Flesh To Stone.

Like DC wizards, enchantment, evocation, and necromancy are probably what you want to focus on, with illusion and conjuration being secondary.

So far I've run several epic lives as an enchantment-based fey tainted scholar and I'm currently on a necromancy-based fiend souleater. In both cases, the spell focus feats have definitely been helpful. Wizard past life seems like a logical choice, as well, if you're very DC conscious (I'd take it before taking a greater/epic spell focus).

With Soul Eater giving -2 to all saving throws via shaken on EB hit, -4 to fortitude on EB hit (stacks up super fast), and ES giving -2 to all saving throws via aura... there really is zero good reasons to take Spell Focus Evocation.
