Has anyone tried out diplomacy in combination with confusion/mass? Can warlock get a high enough confusion to work in epics? Off the top of my head I can see a diplomacy around 73 as being achievable.

Not sure, but I don't think the passive "on hit with blast" confusion has a save. Also, what in your Int score at that you have extra points to spend on diplo? I'm finding 14 int the most I can squeeze in to start with. Anything more will have to come from tomes. That said, if I can get a +4 int tome at least in first life, could probably start with 14 int and still get a 5th skill capped by 20.

I'm looking at a pdk build with 13 starting int and a +3 tome dropped on the previous life.

Unless i made a mistake that should give me 120 skill points to lvl 20 (16, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6).

I was thinking initially of spending them like this
Diplomacy - 11 ranks
Concentration - 23 ranks
Jump - 8 ranks
Perform - 10 ranks
Spellcraft - 22 ranks
Tumble - 1 rank
Umd - 23 ranks

Diplomacy @ lvl28
Heroic ranks - 11
epic ranks - 8
54 Charisma - 22
Item - 20
Greater Heroism - 4
Persuasion - 3
excep cha skills - 6
Luck - 2

Total 76

I'm sure there are more ways to boost and of course some people will end up with Cha at lvl28 higher than the 54 I assumed. Hope my maths is correct otherwise I'm blaming my smart phone ( although old guild rule still valid in which case I blame Belo!)

How many skills do you really need as a Warlock?

Concentration (situational since concentration checks almost always fail in epic anyway, and you really should be using quicken)

That is probably about it...
Given that the jump spell exists, I don't see any reason for that skill.
Unless you can get full ranks into Perform, I don't see any reason for more than 1 rank.
Take ranks from UMD to fill in 1 in Perform and Tumble

Should be swimming in skill points.

Spot or Listen too, it's REALLY annoying when enemies pop out of nowhere right next to ya, then trip or otherwise ruin your day. If you're fey pact, then Preform. For soloing Heal can be a good skill to have for shrines. Then haggle if you have the skill points for it. If you plan on trying to tank, intimidate as well. Overall 4 skill points seems a good basis If you can get a +2 int tome by level 7 and a +4 one by level 15 it's possible to max or nearly max five skills by level 20. And that's without investing any levelups in Int.
