Hey Turbine/DDO team(s). Just wondering if some of these are possible/coming in the future, and others wanting to see but ik I'm gonna be argued with. I always am.
1st thing which would be really useful would be a Windowed Fullscreen option for DDO like on lotro. idk if other people find useful, but personally DDO freezes/crashes A LOT and this wouldn't be too much of an issue, but I find (on Windows 8, idk if active on other versions) that when it crashes in fullscreen I can't minimize to show other programs, most I can get is taskbar at the bottom, until ddo unfreezes. When windowed lotro doesn't do this, but fullscreen it does, so maybe a windowed version would be a good idea.
2nd thing, would it be possible, (and I'm expecting arguments here) to give some classes, not necessarily all but some, different graphics for different weapons? Like I was realllllly disappointed that the monk didn't have different graphic movements for their staffs/swords/whatever, like monkish-movements, they look great unarmed but wielding weapons they're just doing the same as everyone else. Same with the rogue looking the same as any other 2-weapon fighter, they should have a very different moves or something, otherwise it's all just samey for me. idk, maybe it's just me.
3rd thing would be a request to make the Druid's animals a bit better. What's the point of the wolf and bear when you get winter wolf and dire bear? Those 2 forms are completely unused then, when they could have some benefit which the others don't. Would be good to have a use for all forms. Also, move of the enhancements in druid's 1st tree (I forget it's name, not the season-based one) focus on bear/wolf, hardly any benefiting elementals. Just a thought.
4th and final thing; ik it's a bit of a difficult thing to fix as classes take AGES to develope and whatnot, but atm we have a very uneven class load. 4 melee, 4 specialist, 4 iconic, and 6 magic. Back in the olden days when there was a 'recommended' button it always went to melee, so why have the last 2 classes (other than iconics which arn't really classes, they're races) been magic? Need more melee/specialist, not improvements on the ones we already have.
All just my opinion, would value feedback, will trash critical stuff. ;)

Polite request: add line breaks and increase the readability. TYIA.
Now will try to answer: (formatting adjusted for readability)

1st: Alt-Tab and alt+enter. Alt tab should allow you to swap applications in the forefront. Alt+Enter should allow you to switch from windowed to full screen. Make sure to adjust resolution for both in options (control+o - video)

Monks get different animations for unarmed fighting because by PnP rules they can fight with their fists like others can only do with weapons.
I don't think different classes should have different animations. If anything it would make sense to have different animations for different kinds of weapons. While some new animations especially for twf would be nice they I personally don't even focus on them most of the time. I'm more busy with looking what my enemies are doing and tracking cooldowns.

Winter wolf and dire bear are meant to be the better versions. That's also why you get them at later levels. I'm not sure what you would want the other ones to be better at. An idea to give more different options would be to give more different high level beat options. For example a wolf form that doesn't focus on ice spells.
The enhancement tree is based around fighting in a beast form. It makes sense that it doesn't support elementals. Maybe druids get some better options for running around as an elemental when they get their 3rd tree.

I think it's actually fine to have more different magic classes. Melees and specialists are generally better to combine with each other than spell casters, because they don't miss out on the high level spells if they do that. As a result there are more different build options for melees. Also keep in mind that druids can be played as a melee class and warlock also supports that.

I think he's talking about how the classes are split up between the categories on character creation. Frankly, I'm not even sure why those categories exist.
As for why the split is the way it is . . . the classes are licensed from WotC. Those are the classes that the D&D people designed. That and non-casting classes outside the basic core ones tend to be focused around weird **** that isn't implemented in DDO in a way that would support an entire class. Technically Swashbuckler could have made its own class, but they decided to put it under Bard instead. The differences between non-magic combat styles tend to be small enough that you can just make it an enhancement tree (or a couple of feats) and squodge it into an existing class. Casters, less so.

Yes and I am saying that because you can play any class melee there don't have to be as many melee classes. I guess the categories can be helpful for new players who don't know what to expect from the classes because they don't know them from DnD.
Also you can come up with a huge variety of builds when combining different "melee" classes. Splits of different caster classes don't usually work that well together with the exception of shiradi builds. If you want both high level divine and arcane spells you have to look for a new class and hope that it has the selection you want. If you want melee with the option to rage, who doesn't completly rely on that ability you can go for a fighter and barbarian split and it works fine.
