Let me ask you something; is the healing still scaled off of Light Spellpower (being that you seemed to heal based off how much damage you did)?

radiance if i'm not mistaken. it deals chaotic damage and heals with positive (or negative if undead) which is radiance i think.

On lam it was apparently healing based on your Light spell power, not positive spell power. And since that tree doesn't really give either types, the heal to me felt rather meh. Decent for small groups, but not enough to make me go "Wow, this is useful".

i think that description is just specifying that the healing is "normal" healing or neg healing like if you're a PM. it is based on radiance, which is light, and alignment. so that boosts the chaotic damage it does too.

it wowed me for the reason it's the only warlock self-healing option, and basically all i do is use it to kill the last guy in a mob, and i'm back at full health. for free. anyway, i like how it's working out for me.

Maybe I'm just spoiled cause of experiencing the Cure Moderate Wounds SLA. That with maximize and empower was a complete WOW. It healed for an average of 200 per shot with a 3 second cooldown and no SP cost. With that, you were basically immortal.

By comparison, I was only seeing 66 points of healing from Steal Life Force per hit. Decent, and worth using. But not enough to keep you on your feet when things go bad.

Steal Life Force already allows metamagics, but not empower, or maximize, ummm, why, no good reason, I can see. I can only see good reasons to allow it to be used. And, lower the cooldown on the thing from 20 seconds to something that actually allows you to use it in battle to heal, like 5 seconds, and then it becomes self-healing ala soul eater. Otherwise, it's just one shot of, umm, thanks I guess, hope I live with that little bit of help.

It can help a lot, in heroics at least. I guess warlocks aren't suppose to be good at self healing without using UMD?
