Hey guys, this is exactly what it sounds like... I'm trying to figure out what gets used for Eldrich Blast.
Obviously the pain portion uses Force and the Pact uses whatever damage type it is... but what about crits?
If I have the Fiend pact, can I improve my Fire Crit % and increase my crit chance with my Eldrich Blast?

I would assume that the basic eldritch blast effect is boosted by kinetic lore.

Force (or Pierce) type damage is covered by force spellpower/kinetic lore,
Evil is Alignment Spellpower/Lore,
Fire/Acid/Sonic pact damage are covered by their respective spellpowers and lores :)
So you'd want Force/Kinetic (unless using the Evil Damage Stance, then alignment) spellpower and lore, plus your pact spellpower/lore in order to max your EB damage :)

The basic damage is force and there is no save for the enemy. There are enhancements to change the damage type. For example I plan to take "Unholy Blast" enhancement for 2 AP in tier 2 tainted scholar. This changes the damage type to evil which uses light spellpower instead of force spellpower. This works better for me since it has synergies with enlightened spirit and Exalted Angel.
The pact damage and save type is determined by the pact (sonic/reflex for fey, fire/fortification for fiend and acid/will for great old one).
So enemies with evasion can completely evade sonic damage from the pact if they make their save. For enemies without evasion (fey) and the other pacts the enemy takes half pact damage if they make their save.

Just to point out, at the moment warlock pact damage is a little bugged. All 3 pact types can be evaded. And Evasion for some reason seems to be negating the force damage too. So keep that in mind at the moment. I expect it'll get fixed though.
