Or better question would be should I?
I left a little while ago due to server population dropping fast and few groups being posted on G-Land.
Just wondering if they had done anything to improve yet, Merged a server or two fixed any issues?
I check in on the forums once or twice a week and seen G-Land had like a week of being down due to server issues.
Is that all cleared up?
If your answers come to the conclusion that no I should not come back there is nothing there for me then tell me..
What server should I switch to..
and are they doing free server switches because of the the state of the population.
If not.. they should be.

A better way to find an answer to your question is to log on and see for yourself. You will get mixed replies from people still playing DDO. If you come back that makes the population 1 higher than if you dont.

mixed messages indeed lol.
I did long on a few days ago.. Its looking like wayfinder lol..
There were a few lfms.. 1 Epic wich was surprising the epic's use to dominate G-Land.
From what I see there is no reason to come back..
How about a good server.. I'd love to still play.
I miss it and think about it often... But then I log in and am just boooored.. No one around. No one to group with.

Your decision to come back to DDO I think should be based on your love of playing your characters. Ghallanda has a great community spirit. And the bonds many of us have are not going to die because of temporary hardware issues Turbine might be having with Ghallanda. Regardless of the current downtime woes, there's a reason who so many are still logging in and playing on Ghallanda. You can't ever go wrong with Ghallanda.
Another factor might be how you decide to play the game. If you like running with a casual, no zerg style, well I can point you in the direction of guilds on Ghallanda that will allow you to team up morning, noon, and night.
I suggest looking in the guild section on all the servers and look for the guilds actively posting. See if they offer what you are looking for in your gaming entertainment desires or expectations.
Really wish I could say yes, I still like the game but I no longer love it and have not played much lately.
Was super hyped about the temple of elemental evil until they released it. It was my second favorite pnp module ever and I found it meh not bad but not in my list to touch agsin unless I am in a group thst really wants to.
The next big addition I fought against hard warlocks and its soon to be here and maybe it will be fun to,play but I doubt it for myself.
I miss the gsme of old where you needed a group to do most quests self-healing was rarer and hirelings didn't exist
The game isn't what it once was but it is still sometimes fun so give it a try and see it only costs time

I agree with you totally here. Challenge is very, very important. It made playing my characters more fun because so many roles were exclusive to certain classes or builds. Full or almost full parties were the norm.
I believe they will, if they arent already working on a solution to this. Another difficulty setting or a reassessment of current difficulty settings could go a long way to helping guilds and PUGs out in this endeavor.
This is a game wide dilemma that must be addressed.

That's what I hold out hope for and why I do play still

Yea this was never intended to be a troll or a drama thread. It was sincere in asking. Cause I do want to come back.. Like bad.. I think about playing all the time but I hate to solo.
I went on oracle and seen Sarloona is popping off.. Maybe ill start a new toon there then transfer over my comletionist if I find a good fit there.

As far as I know they havn't even acknowledged the issue, the talk will come long before any changes, so get used to soloing and 6 or less man raiding.

Take a look at Khyber as well, I hate solo myself.
