Status of the game is pathetic and it is since a long time.

If you have some programmers working on this game...i dont know what they do.
I assume you are using the tools you got since release to create new content and stuff but
you cant fix the problems of the game engine with that.

Release the code and i will fix it for free! Free to play -> code for free. :)

^Why not also upload your resume there and get paid while you fix the code. Just saying, most of the posts about how easy coding is from arm-chair programmers sound a lot like the following without any actual documentation.

Oh, DDO also runs on the Havok middleware, probably uses a few other pieces of proprietary software and doesn't want any possible lawsuits from patent trolls that skim their source code for a pay day.

Heck, they may even be using GPLed code internally too which is 100% legit. Once they open it to the public though any modifications they've done will need to be released to the public and might still have the issues above.
