As the title implies, any value on using these based on the time required to upgrade then? I can see then being useful, but also incredibly long to build, and I'd generality move past those levels fast, and only usurping run things once ... Not near enough to craft.
Opinions?

I made and upgraded a Light Repeating Crossbow (of Electric Vulnerability - unsure of the prefix) to T2.
Took 3 runs of part 2 Air Node, and I think 6 (maybe 7) runs of part 1 to get the Rusty Gilled Mushrooms at around 30mins a run since literally the only chests with the mushrooms are the random rare ones and the end chest (so the Harpy Queen, Troll Chieftain, Gargoyle Colossus, Temple and "Ogre Chieftain + Goons" chests are all garbage - though I'm unsure if they can drop named items, which means I'm still checking them).
If you do bother doing it, my hot tip is to find a route ( I go clockwise from 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock through level 1, with a slight double back to clear the centre properly) and make liberal use of backspace or whatever your 'is there a chest nearby' key is.
I have to say that I don't see myself using it in preference to a Holy Repeater of Bleeding as a rule - but for big groups the AoE might make it worthwhile. One perk is it's BtA so doesn't clog up a slot at least.
The armour just isn't very good. 10% concealment, 75% fort and 10% fire absorb are the big selling points (the green slot means Featherfall to me since I don't want to up its ML). I'd rather go a tunic or something with DR. That will change if they add a damage improving set bonus, or other incentive.
TL;DR A weapon to T2 for AoE if you're running something that's otherwise strictly single target (e.g. Repeater Rogue) might be of some utility. It's about a 5-6 hour time investment though, so I'm justifying it at least partially of optimizing a route for epic farming. Wouldn't bother with the armour or a weapon on something with cleaves.

Thanks ... I'd be avoiding the armor likely, only caring for weapons ... Repeater, bow, gxbow or thrower ... And I already run with holy of bleed, so maybe won't bother.
Maybe a lowby casting stock

For a two weapon fighting toon they are amazing, as you can use your off-hand to get +20 melee power (set bonus) for just about everyone else they are fairly meh though. The armor is situationally useful by itself for some build though.

Unfourtantly, turbine fixed that in the last patch, so supply on those are limited.

If you’re making one for an eventual TR, I’d say yes. Fully upgraded with a Mythic bonus, they are useful from lvl 7 to 12.

set bonus not on heroics gear,
as for the OP's question, farm mats on a epic toon and then craft it, hand it to your tr (its bound to account)
Farming heroic mode on a epic toon should be easy
i personally loved my acid burst falchion but i wouldn't bother with the armor, without the set bonus it isn't worth the effort (in heroics) imho

armors are weak
caster sticks are obsolete too quickly (Spell Penetration I is not needed at that lvl, Riposte I is a bad joke)
melee weapons are okayish. the AoE is rather big
ranged weapons I don't know

I spent a good 13hrs to farm a leverage, I TR'd into a Rogue Mechanic, when I hit level 7 I was all excited to use my new GXbow.. after 1 quest I vendor trashed it and went back to using a Cannith Crafted heavy repeater.:(
Seriously, at first glance the TOEE items seem nice.. but then when you start to really think about them, they all kind of suck.

With Mythic bonus, are they still BtA?

I was also skeptical about whether this was worth the time and effort to farm it, especially for a level 7 weapon. I crafted a full-blown acid vulnerability dagger for a rogue assassin. I was very happy with it. I used it from levels 7-12. The acid torrent is very strong -- about like an expanded-range acid blast. Questing on elite bravery from levels 7-9, it basically takes out a whole room of enemies, and it goes off very frequently. Once you start questing at about level 10, the acid torrent no longer insta-kills nearby enemies, but it still damages them significantly. It would be awesome to dual-wield two full-blown toee knives, but I saved the ingredients for the next life. Anyhow, it was a great choice and carried my rogue from 7-12. I recommend farming / building it before a TR. Then start using it, fully upgraded at level 7.
