Following on from CThruTheEgo's fun Totally Bass Ackwards Ranger (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/454904-Totally-Bass-Ackwards-An-int-based-heavy-armored-TWF-pure-tempest-ranger), and some excellent input from CThruTheEgo and Unbongwah, I thought I would try to use the same principle but with a slightly beefed-up defence and trapping (who doesnt like trapping eh?)
Rather than continuing to clog up his build thread with my questions and assumptions, I've split it out here instead.
Tempest for killing, Stalwart Defender for not being killed & dwarf for a bit of both.

I did actually post a 4F/1A version on CThruTheEgo's thread. See post #56. I even mention the possibility of going dwarf. When I ran that build, I felt 4 paladin would have been the best way to go instead of 4 Fighter, because I had too many feats I didn't know what to do with and pali had superior survival with god-like saves. Now, you can take weapon focus and weapon spec for the extra power, so fighter is probably more viable.
Toughness/Epic Toughness are not really all that great anymore. Especially not needed for Dwarf. Definitely consider precision for heroic toughness feat and since you are going to be in defensive stance bulwark of defense is nice with +2 to all saves for the lvl 24 epic feat. I would even take precision over power attack since you are TWF and don't have or need cleaves.

I would also recommend using this character builder for forums as it is easy to use/view and is up to date as of 4/14/15.

Ah yes, didn't see it earlier, nearly identical build with a couple of feat/enhancement differences and different weps (and a lot more thought put into it!).
To get the godlike pally saves, you have to put a fair bit into CHA though, which kinda takes away from what I thought was the main attraction of the Bass Ackward build (only one primary stat).
On the toughness thing, I was going to see how things went as I levelled to see if it was worth my while investing in it. I wanted to make sure this guy was a good solid melee who could take a few hits.
Precision/Power Atk. Does the fort bypass stack with armour piercing? 5% to-hit doesnt really do it for me.

It doesn't take a lot of charisma to get a big boost to saves with pally (28 (26 as a dwarf I guess ;) ) is easy to achieve and gives you +9 to all saves). In addition, pali gives LoH for additional healing.
Precision does stack. 5% to hit thing is better than -5 to hit. The +5 damage by itself is okay, but just saying if you have a choice between one or the other on a TWF build, I would take precision. I took both in my version.

Looks good bobafettucine (hehe, nice name btw). I'd agree with Retrodark, pali is better for defense, fighter is better for offense. It just depends on which one you prefer. You have two toughnesses listed. I definitely would not take more than one. Switch the second one with weapon specialization to get the most melee power from fighter.
I would also value precision over power attack due to the number of high fort mobs at endgame. Ideally, you'd fit both to have the option.

Tried it, loved it.
Only criticism is that it doesnt display a description of feats & enhancements as you select them.
For someone starting out on building, this makes feat/enhancement selection a little awkward.
Much better for working out optimum skill point allocations though!

Yeah, having a look at it now, without the cleaves, the extra fighter feats aren't that useful, unless I was going heavy into Kensai and took the weapon focus/specialisation feats, rather than Stalwart for defences (which is what I plan to do).
Paladin in Sacred Defender would have been a much better option.
As an alternative, I have reinstated the cleaves for better synergy with Legendary Dreadnaught. Might swap one out later.

Yes, as ED37 says, it's aimed at veteran players who keep DDO wiki (http://ddowiki.com/page/Home) open for reference.
