I disagree with this one. If you have an everbright greataxe(for example) and you split a slime, those 2 smaller slime will have less hp together than the big one had. It is more efficient to cleave spam with a slashing weapon than to beat it down with a muckbane.
I'll add this one
-refuses to jump down from the tower to the phylactery in TotDW because he can take the hit and isn't worried about dying

That guy that says im tank specd, to never have aggro of boss.
That guy that argues with his mom while we all in party listen to it, push to talk pls people
That guy that brags about his gear past lifes and experience that dies in first encounter (hello me)
That guy that writes all sort of weir things while other 5 are silent the whole time, just to realize he has been squelched by all 5 /funny when they log to alt accounts to ask why squelch
That guy that says, hey my first time, and pulls exactly that piece of loot you are after for years
That guy that plays ddo drunk, runs into a random wall or falls asleep during quests /lob lockout fall asleep ftw

I never said that I couldn't overcome it, it's the PRINCIPLE of the thing. You might be able to open the bottle without peeling off the plastic protective wrapper over the cap, but that doesn't make you smarter or make it go quicker, lol. Quite the opposite. Work smarter & life gets a lot easier.

OK will do. Don't take this as any type of attack, but there is more to this game than just dps, also healing. You have to take the good with the bad. The yin with the yang. Now to be fair though, if said caster of death aura is causing a drain on your resources do to general gimpieness. I am with you! But i do have to watch my resources. Unless you really want me to be a drain and just go all "soulstone" till you haul me to the shrine :D

We have all laughed or cried about these things some point or another. Good times :)
I agree on some, and disagree on others, example:
- Clicks on the Shroud portal in part 4 before everyone has shrined
Nothing wrong: who need to rest on shroud?
- Clicks on last altar before people leave
Nothing wrong: what's the point of leave? Just don't join, shroud is hypereasy can be duoed on Elite.
- Summons pets in raids
Yea totally agree... some ppl still thinks that pets are useful
- Kills puppies in HoX
Totally agree again... squelch is a nice feature
I'll add some:
- Put LFM for EE quest, yu join, they go afk for 20 mins. Bored yu start the quest and when at boss they blame yu coz they lost and died in wilderness.
- Ask free cash
- Afk and piking in all the quest and enter inside the quest just when need to ghater the party at the end...
- Join to EE run the quest, kill count is: 99 yu, and 1 him... him call yu noob
- Still dunno the difference between teamjob and babysitting
- Join party, enter the quest, die, release, leave the party
- Join in quest where need to split and he is just a companion

Well some people probably still think that this can fail the quest.
I once got shoutet at by someone when I ran straight into the velah fight in VoN6 after the bases where done and some people where still making their way back there.
There is no barrier anymore that locks people out in that fight - but old habits die hard.

I don't research the quest I'm going into I like the surprise...and yes I draw aggro because I'm curious and like to see what's round the corner...then tend to run back past my hubby screaming with a hoard following along behind me <.< (He deftly and swiftly clears them for me :D) In fact he saves me a heck of a lot...
I'm a headless chicken in most places and tend to hit the wrong button or spell when in a flap...(I'm the death aura healing all the dead around me while simultaneously trying to slay them) and I sometimes think I'm some kind of super hero on steroids when I see a group I THINK I can take on...or we (my hubby) can take on whether he knows it or not. I make all kinds of mistakes learning to play this game, sometimes I embarrass myself terrible...sometimes I can't play for laughing at the mistake I made. I DO take questing seriously and want to complete, but I also want it to be fun and not have to be stressed or continually have to watch my step.
My hubby is a very understanding, helpful, knowledgeable saint with me on DDO who is teaching me how to quest in a way that will stop me being named in a list called 'That Guy'
To all us 'That Guys' on DDO...the one's of us who don't mean to make mistakes but do >.< Stick with it, enjoy the game and remember everybody has to start somewhere.
By the way...should you really be pulling that lever?...you didn't!..you did? oops! :O see I don't research the quest...element of surprise :P

I have tried it many times successfully on any character. High swim, low swim, high HP, low HP, high reflex, low reflex, it doesn't matter. I haven't reached 100% success rate yet, but I'm around 80%.
And let's add some more:

Who said anything is great? But if you have gone to great lengths to not kill any spiders, what's so great about blasting the 4 spiders at the end? Or when you have someone insta killing the ogres, why go ahead and kill a spider just because the journal has not yet been read? There is a chest right there, and taking it away just because is lame. I don't freak out, but I certainly point out that this is NOT cool.

You go to great lengths to not kill any spiders so that at the end fight the sorc can throw fireballs, the barb can cleave, and the rangers can use ips, not for 2k plat worth of junk.

Is this some kind of baggage? You didn't get to throw any AOE in the whole quest and there can't be a quest where you don't do that? That's fine. But communicate with the others first. Especially if they have tried very hard not to kill spiders to have you ruin this accomplishment.
Except for 2k worth of junk, this is also an accomplishment. And accomplishments are the reason we play.
But who said not to do all those things? Just drag the 4 spiders out of the way and blast/cleave all you want. You had IPS disabled all the quest and you will activate it for 3 caster monsters (that tend to go far appart)?

..ah ,that's you:) When the LFM fills there is nothing to reference what was next in line but hazy burnt paint sniffing memories from before the lfm filled.. It is so easy to relay information; I dont see panties getting bunched on this issue .

You all know that guy. We have all been that guy some time or another. That guy which:
...
We have all laughed or cried about these things some point or another. Good times :)
Nice list, I see I still have to learn much as I haven't tried all that, but pretty good ideas I still have to try out :D
Let's see what I can remember and come up with:
- fail to actually kill the pillars as assigned Arti to prep and take down the pillars in LoB
- on the other hand kill all pillars in Titan right away and without control
- running with the wrong stone down the wrong hallway in the Titan pre-raid and die in the middle.
- kill miners in Slavers of the Shrieking Mines
- kill the mummies in Faithful Departed
- having haggle gear on same slot as CON/Fort item and leave it swapped in for the quest/raid duration
- summon a hireling while LFM is still up in a quest, after being told this ain't needed or blocks invite unsummon it in same quest with failure condition, for not all party members reaching a progress point
- staying afk in non raid slayer zone/quest while people wait to fill for raid
- getting in panic mode in a raid, hitting caps lock and then ask for HEEALLLZZZZ ;)
- try to share the quest line in threnal and mess up with the order
- mix Acronyms for quests/raids like LoB, LoD, LoS and wonder why the others not join...
... should I feel guilty? ... naaahhh, fun times :D
- Hits the pillar in VoN6 with a piercing weapon.

- That guy who tries the swimming without evasion.
I do that, but I don't die =p

- Grabs aggro and runs around like a headless chicken
I got this haunting image of blade barriers when I read this one...
That guy that says, hey my first time, and pulls exactly that piece of loot you are after for years
...
Runs ALL the way to Hound, and doesn't have the quest (pre quest sharing era)
That guy that gets lost on the way and cries over voice chat (yes, it happened) when everyone started without him after a half hour, after several offers were made to escort him there were refused.

That guy in Thunderholme slayers who you discover is afk piking when it's time to reset.
Did this myself yesterday, although I was smart enough to listen for when the group leader was reforming group.
Actually a smart idea, reform group every time you reset instance. That way the pikers have to pay attention to keep up.

That guy who starts a thread and never returns to it.
That guy who necros a thread to criticize or offer help on an issue from 6 years ago. (I often wonder how that guy even finds those threads.)
Those guys who continue to engage the discussion with the guy who necroed a 6 year old thread.
That guy who points out that they are all talking in a 6 year old thread. (Thank you to this guy's superior powers of observation.)

I was hoping there was a more technical solutionsomehow relog cleans a bad connection ;im computer illiterate ... but ,simple seems to work better than just waiting-I have waited 10 min or more waiting for the screen load to complete ,to get no response still; relog is just faster.....edit>there are a few settings that may help load screen times in the, derrp, settings area,i guess.

Except that more often than not, force-quitting when stuck on loading screen forces you into the "cleaning old connections" bug, and you still have to wait for 10 minutes...
Can't win with this one.
